Do villagers get sick/colds?

This feature was in New Leaf but was removed after the Welcome Amiibo update (the wiki says it was due to a bug, tho I can't remember nintendo saying anything about it) Is it in New Horizons?

yeah they do get sick and cold one of my villagers reneigh got sick so i got her some medicine she got better instantly

yep, one of my villagers got sick (and i found out because another villager told me about it) you can still give them medicine

I didn't think they would bring that back. Now bring back art exhibit.

Three of my villagers have been sick. You only have to give them medicine once though and they recover.

I'll be keeping my face mask on though...

Only one dose of medicine? I guess that makes sense to get them back out and interacting, but I sort of enjoyed tending to my sick villagers for several days. Oh, well. I'm glad they brought it back, at least.
