Yes they did. That was a long time ago though. I think most kids now a days should get the crap beat out of them. The other day when I was camping, there was a straight up huge fist fight between 2 kids(15-18 or so). The mom tried breaking it up but ended up getting hit a few times. The dad just stood there and watched. If I was the parents, i would of publicly smacked the crap out of both kids. Not only do you not swing at a sibling with a closed fist, but you definitely dont do it in public and make the parents look like they are ********. Kids have no respect for anything anymore, and more of them need asswhoopings.

My parents hit me sometimes. I think they realize I'm a little too old for "beat-downs" (like my dad gave me once when I was 8 for saying "f*** you" to him) so now they just take stuff away from me.
Doesn't happen that often because I realized that I was a real brat when I was younger, so I try acting nicer to them and following whatever rules they throw out there.

My generation is too spoiled. Certain schools in the nation are actually considering getting rid of "F's" as a grade, and replacing it with something more "encouraging". I do have to say that kids are really getting spoiled these days. I actually enjoy listening to my dad's stories about when he was younger.
