Did you ever think this?

My two favorite characters (Wolfgang and Bluebear) are actually the only two original villagers I have. They are never going to leave.

All my other original villagers were great too (Mitzi, Lucky, Frobert, and more), but I replaced them for other villagers that I now love. The only one I really miss is Frobert. One day he will return to my town. I don't know who will have to be sacrificed (I love all my villagers right now), but I need this charming little froggy in my town. It will take some cycling through to get him back, though.

I had the opposite experience. I started my town ready to get dreamies, but by the time my originals moved out they had grown on me, and it was kinda bittersweet. At least they still show up on main street. :)

When I first had the game, I made a promise to keep all of my original villagers because I felt bad whenever they wanted to move out because I got attached but then I discovered dreamies and I moved out all of them even my favorite, Pate. (I THOUGHT PATE WAS A BOY AHAH)

Did you ever want to keep your original villagers?
Yes, idid. I really did.,.

Oh yeah. Lolly and Hamphrey are both perma-residents. Lolly was one of my starting five and Hamphrey moved in a few days later. And I've had the game since June 2013.

I've actually kept 3 of my original villagers: Bunnie, Cranston, and Hamlet. I guess they've been with me for so long that letting them go would be too heartbreaking ;w;

Still have all ten from release day in my main town.
I have a guest town that villagers come and go. So I get to see new faces there.

I sometimes keep one or two of them depending on who I get and for what town, In my first town I kept one for the whole time I played it, but unless there is someone I want really badly I'll swap em out. It's more worth it to get villagers you'll enjoy and actually want to keep then just holding on to them because they were the firsts.

I don't usually develop any sort of attachments to my originals, because most of the time they're villagers I just don't like.

In my first town, Arizona I was really attached to Mitzi, a original. She stayed in my town for maybe a quater year or so and then I lost her ;-; that was really hard for me because I could not do the 16 villager cycle (I got all my dreamies and four characters) :( I 'replaced' her with Lolly but she wasn't my dear Mitzi :( In my current town I don't have any orginals any more and I'm definitely not sad about it!

Well, sometimes I suppose! I had Julian as a starter, he accidentaly moved but I'm working on getting him back!

I want to, especially when they're pretty nice. I really like Tia and Bree but there are other villagers I like more. >_<

I thought this with Savannah. She was originally going to stay forever, but as I got to landscaping and planning out my town, she was right in the middle of my orchard. And while I have a few houses in the orchard, they were built strategically so that they look nice and natural instead of unplanned. So when she asked me to move, I had to let her go so I could plant my fruit trees ;-;
