When I first had the game, I made a promise to keep all of my original villagers because I felt bad whenever they wanted to move out because I got attached but then I discovered dreamies and I moved out all of them even my favorite, Pate. (I THOUGHT PATE WAS A BOY AHAH)

Did you ever want to keep your original villagers?

I still have one of my original villagers still in my town ^.^ they have been with me for over a year. I wish I could have kept Mac too but I can always get him again, because I have long since cycled through 16 villagers. All of my original villagers were special to me and I would like too see them again, but I have found villagers I like even more so I don't really mind that I had to let my first villagers go.

Yeah, I did. I never wanted to keep all of my originals though since I really didn't like some, but some I did get attached to. That's probably why I kept Blaire and Peanut for so long before moving them to finally start on getting dreamies. Whenever they asked to move I would usually postpone them and make another one move in order to get the dreamie that was available that day. I did that for a few months and then when it finally came down to me really needing space, I finally let them go. Benjamin and Elvis are the only two original villagers I have left, but they're awesome and I don't really wanna move them. My town is complete the way it is now, plus they have are unique enough that I want to keep them.

Back in City Folk in October 2012 I did, then I realized that I can actually keep villagers. So I looked on the wiki and saw what villagers I wanted, it was hard though.

When the New Leaf villagers were revealed I made a list of what new and returning villagers I wanted. When I first laid eyes on Eugene, I was like "OMG! Permanent resident right there!" But I also wanted Lyman too, I didn't want 2 Koalas so I had to choose, and Eugene was the winner.

When I got the game I tried my best to obtain them all. Then I came to a realization on what I wanted to call them. "Dreamies" was the only word I could think of to call them. I didn't know others called them "Dreamies" either!

I would have kept Francine if I didn't end up cycling to get Pashmina back after the first time I lost her. She had some fly eyeshadow

Yes, and I accidentally time traveled one of them out recently too sadly. :( I do want to experience more villagers but I always wanted to keep some of my original five lol.

If I ever do cycle through 16 villagers though I'm totally going to try and get them back someday. It would be a neat feeling to see them all again after my town has grown so much. :)

Yes, I still have three of my original villagers in my town, I?m really attached to them and I don?t want them to leave. I wish we could have the option to tell the villagers we want them to stay forever.

I still have 6 of my original villagers from around the game's release. I never like to let them move because their houses are in the perfect spot.

Pango is the only original villager left in my main town. I grew attached to her and made her one of my dreamies. I still have her and I have had the game since launch.

I still have Punchy from the beginning but I don't need to see any of my other start villagers again.
Apple, Peaches, Buck and Mathilda... yuck.

only when I first played the game, then I learned about this golden thing called time traveling lol

Yes, I felt bad when they started to move out (Especially the last one).

I had Wolfgang and Ankha in my first ever save, and I initially wanted to keep them both, but Ankha had a little bit too much sass for my taste. I'm still really attached to Wolfgang, though.

Hahah I thought once too! Yeah all my original villagers were likeable but when i decided to start designing my town, I found that some of them were living in spots that ruined my paths so thats when I learned about villager plot set trick. When I moved them out and new ones moved in, I realized I liked the new villagers eve one. Then I went dream address visiting everyday, talked to different villager Ive never seen before. Alas, the many squirrels Ive talked to and read about became my dreamies! Marshal is the only original villager I am going to keep. I had Marshal the first time I played ACNL but gave him away, not knowing that he would become by dreamie, out of the reasoning that I shouldnt imprison my villagers forever! However, I am working so hard on making and landscaping my town that I cant bare to keep doing the villager plot everytime someone moves out!

Thanks for the good post!

Francine <3 she's probably my only original I've kept. I would have kept Poppy too but the bae wanted her really bad so I her Poppy ♥

Well, I got Fang as an original, so i'm probably going to be keeping him. ;u;
...and also Pippy, I just like her, she's my favorite.

most of my originals have left... not that I wanted Ricky to leave when he did, but it happened anyway. ;__;
I still have Tammy... 'cause I love her too much. she's the only one, and I won't let her leave. ever. >__>
aside from that, I didn't plan on holding onto them, really. like, I woulda let Ricky go eventually.
but then again, I only really have one dream villager anyway, so...

Of these villagers, I still have Joey to this day.
I accidentally lost Goose, so if that hadn't happened I would still have him.
