Did Nintendo Delete Gulliver?

I haven't seen Flick, Redd and Gulliver for almost 3 weeks now. T_T

when i first got the game he showed up a ton, but recently i think ive only seen him like once in the past 2 months lol

I feel like I haven't seen any NPC for weeks now. I had Saharah the other day but that's all I can think of. Not seen Gulliver for months, or Flick, I saw CJ last month I think, not seen Redd for about a month either... What is going on with these spawns?

Been seeing plenty of stationary NPCs though, especially Leif.

in a way, nintendo did reduce the visit rate of gulliver

so the mechanic works like this:
5 characters are guaranteed to vist your island once a week. that being lief, kicks, saharah, diasy and K.K. Slider
that leaves 2 open days, those 2 can be filled in with Sabel, Flick, CJ, Redd and Gulliver and there is a mechanic that decreases the chance of the same character appearing 2 weeks in a row (boosting the chance of someone else)

But, like, before lief and redd were added, there were 3 empty days and only 4 characters to randomize. so introducing lief and redd significantly reduced the spawn rate of a specific character

I am hoping that nintendo rolls out that nooks cranny update soon. not only would that add lief as a permanent resident, it would also free up 1 day for random characters!

it depends on our lucks. some people will rarely see gulliver, some label, some redd.

I haven't seen Gulliver in ages but he finally showed up today, Celeste is here too.

But I forgot that Label existed until someone mentioned her.. she hasn't been here since last month LOL

I started playing NH on release day and I was seeing Gulliver kind of a lot in the beginning but in the past month or so he hasn't been around as much.I see Flick,Label,Leif and Kicks fairly regularly but Redd,the fish guy and Gulliver don't seem to show up as often.I guess the later addition of the other NPCs took more of a bite out of Gulliver's visits compared to the rest.

Edit:I just turned on my game and there's a weird bird sprawled out on my beach.He better cough up the lucky cat this time.

Yeah, same. Every 3 days or so he'd be around. I don't think I've seen him in the past month at all.. Maybe once

I see him quite a lot tbh, but he gave me like 5 hats in a row so recently I just keep the 5 parts and they turn into rusted parts the next day

I have seen him as recent as last week, but yeah he keeps giving me hats. I'm not about it.

Because Isabelle doesn't announce it and villagers don't bring it up like crazy, I tend to forget to comb my beaches to even look for him. I feel like he's been there for a lot of people but they just miss him. I wish there would be a patch where Isabelle announces all of the wandering visitors

I'm starting to think Nintendo deleted Redd, with how infrequently I see him

For anyone that gets gulliver, and aren’t against tting, you can farm him basically.

What I mean is, I found it this out unintentionally because I wanted to get the open frame kitchen the nooks were selling after I forgot to get it that day (which happened to be the day he washed up)

I figured the game wouldn’t spawn him again after you rescued him for the week, but that seems to not be the case (at least until Nintendo patches it), you can basically groundhog day Gulliver to give you items you’re looking for (or rusted parts if your into getting them for the robot hero) it’s still rng but I was surprised it works (or that he even washed up again)

It makes me wonder if Redd works in the same manner...
