Did Nintendo Delete Gulliver?

I do like that he sells furniture items on the side, making him not exactly a one and done character that visits. He jacks up the price for those items, though. So at least you got something out of it. I'd be pretty upset too if he came by without having something else I could get from him. Have the paintings all been fake when the villagers give them to you? I got the gallant statue from Al, but it was a fake. My brother recently got I think the mystic statue, which was also a fake.

At least I now know who he likes to visit more. I wish there wasn't a one or the other sort of visit with the NPCs. For example, it would be nice to be able to have Redd and Gulliver both visit at the same time rather than it just being one or the other.

I got the gallant statue from Wolfgang today and it was a fake, the painting was the same one Redd sold me the first time I saw him so I just got rid of it, i didn’t check wether it was real or not!

RNG is cruel and that is all there is to it unfortunately. Aside from Labelle all of the rotating NPCs are valuable in their own way and whichever one you keep getting ghosted by hurts, whether it’s a barren art exhibit or an entire basement full of high value bugs.

I had gulliver last on may 27th (though he may have been on my island Thursday last week...but I wasn’t on that day...) he’s definitely in game though... maybe he learns not to fall asleep while on deck...

edit: I checked and he did wash up, I went back to the day I didn’t play and he was there washed up on my shore...

The way the RNG works, you can go three weeks without seeing one of the rotating visitors, which seems like an eternity.

He appears every 2 weeks for me, I have all the stuff i want from and multiple profiles, he's not high of a priority for me.

I know he's still around. But the fact that he's been MIA in my game had me wondering. I used to see him often from March to April. He didn't show up once during May, and he still hasn't been around.

He has more competition now.

After building Able's store but before the Earth Day update, the special NPCs for weekdays were Kicks, Label, Sahara, Flick, CJ, and Gulliver. I assume Kicks and Label were guaranteed like they are now, but that meant there were three slots for four NPCs each week and the following week, the odd one out had priority. Now there are three days with a guaranteed NPC (Kicks, Label, or Leif), and five other NPCs fighting for two spots.

I haven’t seen him in a while. The first item I got from him was Stonehenge, so I’m not super bothered that he hasn’t visited in a bit. I seem to get Saharah way too often though.
