I prefer it more to have variety when it comes to the villagers, so therefore I don't have or plan to make a single species island. Besides, there is no species where I like all of them and where I could pick 10 in total, so it would be kinda difficult to create such a island for me anyways.

i don’t! deers are my absolute favourite animal and so i’ve definitely considered having an all-deer island/town but i love too many villagers to be limited to a single species c’:

Man, back in my New Leaf days I used to have an all Koala town. It was a good feeling when I got them all, but never really did anything else afterwards. I did nothing to improve my town because it feels like everything I build in any Animal Crossing game is too big which takes up so much space around the whole place. Seriously, how do they do it?

(Gone a bit off topic there haven’t I?)

Yes and no lol 😅☺ I have two islands, my main and the one I use to do all my trades/time traveling/grinding for mats, etc. My second island is almost entirely filled with frogs. Frogs are my most favorite smol villagers 💖💖💖 I hunted down all my faves:

Puddles
Lily
Henry
Jeremiah
Drift
Wart Jr.
Tad
Huck (wasn't my fave at first but he very sloooowly won my affection. After all, he's still living in my old town in AC on the Gamecube!)

The other non-frogs living there are Rod and Plucky <3 my fave mouse and girl chicken! My hope is that someday Nintento will add more villager slots so that I could invite Rod, Plucky and Puddles to move to my main island <3<3<3 (wishful thinking, I know lol but hey, a panda can dream, right?)

My island will be mixed species, but when my daughter made her island she named it Catopia and is working towards all kitty cat villagers. :3

I think one species islands are really fun, but I think if I tried to have one I'd just get bored. I love too many villagers to limit myself to one species.

There's only one species that would convince me to do a single species island...and sadly that species only has 3 (for NH). Octopus.

So, no, I don't have any single species towns currently. :)

I don't. I prefer species diversity, so I'd hate to have all 10 villagers be the same species, lol. Currently I have achieved that diversity by having all 10 villagers be different species, and only at one point did I ever have 2 of the same species on my island, so I'm definitely keeping it this way.

Personally, I couldn't bring myself to have a monospecies island. I like the variety of having the different species around. Each one is unique and I really enjoy that. There are, of course, species I like more than others, but when picking out my dreamie villagers, I try to limit it to 3 maximum of any given species. Before I find all my dreamies, it might fluctuate higher, but in the end, I'd like to end up with at the very most 3.

Another good point is that there are a limited number of species that have at least 10 villagers with which to populate a full island.

I had an all cats island for the longest time, but I missed a few of my older residents like Bam, Roald, Fang and Coco. So I decided to do 5 permanent cats and 5 to swap around from time to time (Punchy, Bob, Kabuki, Lolly and Rudy are my forever cats).

Seriously we need to be allowed more villagers, I only have 1 human so I have so much room for a few more, 12 would be nice.
