Dark witchy forest ideas

I don't really have any villagers I consider dreamies except two- Muffy and Coco,
so I was thinking about having villagers that would suit my town theme (or their houses)

Basically my towns called Duskwood and its like an old magical, witchy, dark, overgrown forest (i've just started so its absolutely NOT that right now)

also if you have path ideas that would be great, was gonna go with simple stepping stones but I wanted to do something a bit more fancy using maybe dusk colours (purple, orange, blue, black etc) but not bright colours, duller ones to fit with the overgrown theme

any ideas in general would help so much actually haha

I'll go see if I have anything in my saved files for paths that might work but as far as villagers go;

Drago- He's a dragon and I like his color scheme for a forest.
Grizzly- Reminds me of the story with the three bears
Kiki- A black cat, maybe a witch's familiar?
Prince- The hero who goes into the forest to rescue the lost princess? Also... a frog. :3

For the villagers I've decided on: Coco, Muffy, Avery and Drago for now (I want to have 1 of each personality)
So I think thats jock, peppy and snooty that I need
 
I think you should have these villagers :
-Kiki, the normal black cat, I think she's perfect for your town, because she could be a witch, for example, you would only give to her the right clothes;
-Cherry, the uchi red dog, each time I see her, I think that she lives in a wood, I don't know why, so I think you ought to take her;
-Tobby, the peppy yellow cat, she's very strange, she just scares me, she's just perfect for your town;
-Olaf, the smug brown anteater, just one word: " Mafia " ;
-Grizzly, the cranky black orse, he's a horse, and horses live in forests, so...you've understood, no ? ;
-Rodeo, the lazy black bull, listen to me, he's perfect for your town
 
Let's see...
Bam- He's a deer and the blue part might fit with the color scheme but... a deer of a different color? (Lol, Wizard of Oz)
Gloria- She reminds me of the evil queen or a witch and is a cute snooty

I'll see what I can do for more paths. ^^
 
I'd definitely have Kiki in your town, she can be your mayor's assistant or something or their lucky assistant.
I would recommend Julian, he's pretty magical. He is a unicorn after all and you are going for a magical look for your town so hes perfect! Although he's blue, he's quite a nice glowing blue so it should be fine he won't stick out too much.
 
Ugh Kiki is the bessst! I have something similar, a little magical witch's forest, and Kiki is my witch's assistant :) I think Fauna would be cute, she's super woodsy, I also have Julian and he is aabsolutely maaaagical. Cole is a super cute little black bunny!
 
I don't think Julian would fit the dark eerie theme I'm also going with, I don't like horses either

even just clovers as a path would look really good, or clovers with some stepping stones every few spaces.

I agree with Kiki as a villager for sure, and maybe ruby, to me she looks really magical and strange, in a cool way, fauna, ect. Maybe even one of the large bears like teddy or grizzly would work because of the eery forest theme. It would look cute to have some of the ore scattered around, particularly amethyst. It would also look cute to have some fairy circles in places, (mushrooms in a circle) as they are known to be very magical and witchy.
