Search by relevance as opposed to popularity? How exactly do they get the program to do this?

Aside from pages containing the words specified and the amount that it is, I cannot see a very simple way to judge relevance. Popularity is actually a decent indication of it because it shows what most people think of given the terms you entered, it isn't perfect but sorting by relevance just seems so vague and more based on the opinion of the site than of actual people.

I dunno how they do it, but it works, and it's better than Google. Ironically, the developers of Cuil are former employees of Google, lol.

Honestly, Google is much better for me. I tried searching some lyrics to a song I didn't know the name of, and Google found it in the first hit, while Cuil had no results whatsoever.

Okay, I shouldn't have said most, but they can still cut a lot and it wouldn't make hardly any difference. And they could be kind enough to give you an option to disable ads, like Cuil does.
