There are quite alot of clones, semi-clones. Lucina, Toon Link, Ganon, Dark Pit, and a few more. Are you in favor of clones(or semi clones), or the original characters.

If they have a different move set they aren't a clone imo.
The only real clone is Lucina, but I don't mind her.

Lucina - bleh. Robin best FE rep anyways, so whatever
Toon Link - best Link
Ganon - what. why's he here?
Dark Pit - ow the edge
a few more - Dr. Mario is p cool

I don't mind clones. I'd rather have more characters than less. That's the way I see it.

None of the characters are actually straight up clones so I don't see what the problem is.

Dr Mario >>>>>>>> Mario
Dark Pit ??? Pit (idc I love them both </3)
Lucina - Marth (who cares)
Captain Falcon >>>>>>>>> Ganondorf (wtf get ur own moveset u pig)
Toon Link > Link (I actually like Link now after this game but idk if toon link is a 'clone')

Lucina is closer to how Marth was in Melee. She's quite a bit more versatile but still has the punch to her. They are definitely completely different and should have two different playstyles; as with most clones.

I don't mind them. That just means more characters to choose from.

Clones tend to be better than their originals...

(Except Ganondorf, Luigi (To an extent), Roy, & Pichu)

Most of the characters I play as are clones. Toon Link, Lucina, and Dark Pit mainly. I play as the clones more just because I usually like them more as a character, not their slight change in how they play.

I don't like clones because sometimes they can be even more annoying than the character they're copying.

who is luigi a clone of???
Well, he was a clone of Mario in Smash 64. (Albeit not a good one)
Then a semi-clone in Melee, due to Mario & Luigi having different side-B's.
And now he's no longer a clone starting from Brawl.

No Weeg is better (in my opinion, of course). I tend to play as the clones more than the original actually. Also, what's the difference between clones and semi-clones?
