So I'm brand new to this forum (previously posted on jvgs) and I was wondering whether or not it was acceptable to post on any of the boards the items I'm looking to catalog only, not buy or trade. I ask because some unorderable items, like the cabana and mermaid sets, I have no interest in owning and only need them for the catalog badge purposes, but I saw nothing in the rules that says one way or the other, and I don't want to break any rules

I think I saw yesterday that for cataloging you should post in the re-tail section..

Asking to catalog is totally acceptable. Sometimes people will be more likely to help you catalog if you pay them, sometimes they're nicer and will let you catalog for free. It's perfectly fine to post a thread looking to catalog the mermaid and cabana sets. Just put it in the re-tail section of the boards.
