cannot catch a pike...

omg it’s the last fish i need for the new ones introduced in sept/oct...
i’ve caught all the bugs and diving creatures but this stupid fish elludes me
i was under the impression that it isn’t that rare but i’ve caught multiple dorados and arapaimas since hunting for it and i am just at a loss!!

I had the same issue! Felt like it was super elusive. In the end I had success using fish bait and catching all size fish, rather than scaring away smaller fish. The shadow was smaller than I expected it to be!

Ooh I've caught many on my island. It's a really big size so it's hard to miss. I didn't actually think it was that rare. If you are having trouble and need an island to catch it at, you could come to mine! I know for sure my waters are pike friendly

i've caught a lot late at night if that makes a difference? i think that's when there's less river fish out

I actually just caught my third pike for model-making purposes. Ironically, I was looking for my third sturgeon, and found the pike at the river mouth.

that's so wild cause I randomly caught one after I found a large shadow in the river, and then I found another one like 2 minutes later

just gotta keep looking ig, they're out all day so keep catching those big fish.

I happened to catch one yesterday. It was in a river mouth in the evening. Not sure on exact time. I was on a NMT island.
