I kinda want to stop playing one of my games for a while. How can I be sure that none of my villagers move out?

Yes mark the date you last played.
Stop playing.
When you want to play again just TT back to that day and no villagers will have moved I believe.

You can just check your game logs to see when you last played, and then when you start again just change the time to that date/one day after that date :)

I usually just stop playing on a day I tell a villager not to move. I did that on my third game(husbands town) and no one moved in or out for 4 months.

idk if it matters but whenever I time travel I always change the DS clock, not the in game clock.

I stopped playing in my old town for about four months and no one ever moved out when I logged on again. I didn't change the date or anything, just started the game four months later!

There's a really good, and really long guide on villager movement, including how to "go on a hiatus" without losing anyone, which I'm using right now that my 3DS is away. Here's the link.

Okay! Thanks, I think I'll change the date every morning and have it as the never ending day

Don't bother with that nonsense, just stop someone from moving out and then exit o3o You won't have to go through that nonsense then.

you don't have to change the date back every day, just when you start playing again lol
as long as you don't start your game on a different day, your game will still think the day is the same day you stopped playing at.
