Bug-Off today! Is everyone done with this event? Anyone still participating?

Everyone out here saying they did at least one round for the Nook Mile achievement, then there's me who only participated in the first Bug-Off and ignored the rest of them, despite being on for every single one. I completely forgot about the Nook Mile achievement ngl, partly because I never bother to complete any of them anymore. If I treat this game anything like I treated New Leaf, I'll definitely be on and off for the next 7 years or something lol, so hopefully I'll remember one year. I honestly just hate the prizes so I stopped caring after the first tourney.

i do have a question about the redeemable prizes; do you automatically get each the first time, or is there a chance to get duplicates until you've obtained each item once?

You'll get duplicates. If you want the full set of prizes, you need to keep earning your points to exchange them for the items.

ngl, I've been ignoring flick and C.J. apart from commissioning some bug models every now and then. but if this is the last bug-off for a while then I guess I'll have to join to get that miles achievement

I wish we could choose which prize we want after getting a gold trophy because there's only a couple I want repeats of. Would especially like spider webs for Halloween.

The prizes weren't very good and the new three minute way of playing doesn't endear me to it.

I managed to get the 300 point total score on the first run, so I am pretty much done with grinding points.

I really want more Termite Mounds for my Desert, though, so I might do more runs later.

I played one round this morning and caught five bugs before the first minute had passed, so I felt a bit motivated and started thinking of trying a bunch of rounds today to see if I could set a new record for myself, until joycon drift suddenly kicked in for the first time right in the middle of it, so I quickly abandoned that idea. Ended with nine bugs and a ladybug rug and didn't bother playing any more rounds; I have all the prizes from previous Bug-Offs anyway.

I missed and/or forgot about the ones in June and July due to the fair that was going on. Maybe I won’t forget about the one in August, even though I probably most likely will. So I guess it’s safe to say, no I am not done with the bug off and won’t be anytime soon.

I did participate a bit. I like trying to improve my best, but I can only do so many rounds at a time, and I did less today than I did on previous Bug Offs.

Sent all players out for their Nook Achievement. Island 2 main player played until she got the gold trophy.
Flick was nice and gave everyone Artisanal Bug Cages.

After getting all the prizes in the first bug off, I’m not really into the past few. I play once to get the stamp then redeem points and stop. There’s only so many butterfly backpacks my storage can fit
