I'm guessing most of you have heard about the whole Brexit issue, but I wanna know what your guys opinions are??? So, if you actually voted, feel free to take the poll, and if not, also feel free to take the poll and express what you thought was the best decision.

I personally thought that they should have remained. This is because in the EU, you are safe because you have other countries backing you up if you are attacked. Also, we can see that it wasn't the best decision. Violence towards foreigners has become a huge problem in Britain after Brexit. Also, Scotland agreed to Remain, and now that Brexit unfolded before the world's eyes, they are taking the liberty to make their own decision and gain independence once more, and rejoin the EU, which is very smart of Nicola Sturgeon and the rest of Scotland's government.

Remain, most people that voted leave were over the age of 50 (I think).
It just proves how the older people really don't care about the younger people. I'm really disappointed that we left the EU. Sure it was bad in some points, but it was giving us more then what we gave them. I feel really bad that we left, UKIP really screwed up.

I'm from the US so I'll refrain from voting for now.

I wanted to point out that I don't think that the UK should feel like no one will have their back now. The US supports you folks no matter which you decide. And I also wanted to say that, while I did think the UK should stay in the EU, I don't think it was so wrong for the older generation to vote to leave. They went through bailing out Greece, now there are these attacks, and the older generation probably feared that staying in would leave the country broken for the younger generation. And now that the decision is made we won't know whether staying would have been better, though my money's on that staying would be better.

Does the UK get to vote again btw? I think I remember seeing something on the news that they might call for another vote.

I agree. The UK wants another vote, but I believe that if the UK had another vote, and it was Remain, the EU would not let them back in. They have broken the trust of the EU and its countries, and it is too late for another decision, the damage has been done, the stocks will continue to decrease, and I believe that the UK will ask the US for help, and of course, the US will give it. But giving the UK help with their financial crisis will not teach them the lesson of Leaving the EU. I think though that Theresa May should lead the UK, she is the perfect candidate for Prime Minister, and I know that she will lead them out of the crisis, whether the second vote is Remain or Leave.

Also, Leave has ruined the futures of UK's yuonger generation. The college students of the UK will now have a difficult time trying to study abroad in the EU, due to the Brexit vote, and people from the UK that did study abroad and want to come back to the UK, they now are faced with violence towards foreigners who left to the EU and are coming back to their homes to find violence.

Remain.

Now one of our possible future PM's Angela Leadsom is anti gay marriage and pro fox hunting. I believe it's pretty much between her and Theresa May, someone who played a massive part in drastically cutting tax credits for poor people, for out next PM (at the moment). I would hope that Jeremy Corbyn, and labour in general could do something, but I don't have much hope.

It's disgusting how much hate this whole thing has brought out in the UK. This mentions the massive increase in racial hate crimes since the discussion to leave the EU. Here it is also mentioned that there has been over 3000 reported cases of racial hate crimes in just two weeks. People shouting abuse outside mosques, racist graffiti, shouting "get out, we voted leave" to schoolchildren. I'm so, so, disgusted with the sheer amount of racism/Islamophobia/xenophobia there has been following this.

I must say, as someone living in scotland, I don't think our decision to have another referendum is a good one at all, but it's not like it even matters anymore, likelihood is we're all ****** anyway, regardless of what else happens.

i'm from sweden and i really think the uk should stay. at least the people should have another chance to vote, especially since a lot of people seem to be changing their mind now after the vote and the result was pretty even.

tbh most ppl who want britain to leave the eu seem to be racists who think immigrants are stealing their jobs and want them to leave lmao. but whatever honestly i think they can figure out an agreement with eu so they still cooperate a bit lol..,...,

Well Obama says otherwise.

I'm from the US, but I've been reading a lot about this, and it seems that leaving may turn out to be beneficial for Britain. A lot of people seem to think it'll be bad for trade, but Britain is just as valuable a trade partner to the EU, as the EU is to Britain, so it's unlikely that they'll intentionally screw Britain over. But from what I understand, many of the "leave" votes had nothing to do with economics.

Britain is trying to avoid becoming part of "The Unites States of Europe", essentially. Under the EU, the officials the people of Britain elected had the power to elect other officials that ultimately determined what laws would be passed, meaning that the people didn't have direct influence over how they were governed anymore (much the same as in the US) and the people over 50 that voted to leave lived before Britain was part of the EU, and experienced what life as part of the EU was like, so their opinions shouldn't be discredited because of their age or how long they'll have to deal with the consequences vs younger generations.

Any opinions on Theresa May? She'll be the British PM by Wednesday. Her "main priority" is focusing on brexit, she's also very anti-lgbt, and voted against gay couples adopting in the past, however, she did vote in favour of same-sex marriage more recently. She also supports things like fox hunting and badger culling. As well as cutting benefits. I'm unsure, I don't think this will be good news though, she's voted against bringing things that'll help the environment into action too. Guardian article.

Theresa May has abandoned the climate change department, she seems to think that business and industry is more important. I wouldn't say that's a good start. Honestly brexit is such a mistake.

I wonder, even though I'm not British, how did the United Kingdom end up getting four prime ministers in the last decade? First Tony Blair, then Gordon Brown, then David Cameron, and now Theresa May. How did this happen?
