i used to have braces. bleh, they sucked. they told me i only needed them for a year, but i was stuck with 'em for two and a half years. i never wore my elastics.. they hurt like hell. i eventually wore them realizing that i needed to because the orthodontist threatened me with jaw surgery. thankfully, they're off now, i'm just stuck with a stupid retainer.
