Are you receiving villager requests?

I know this was a common concern early on, and after a little while my villagers did ping me with requests (though it was rare). However, as of late, it seems the requests have stopped entirely. I haven't seen any requests in a couple weeks and am concerned they may have been patched out. Anyone else experiencing anything similar?

I find that villagers don't ping me to do requests; I have to speak to them to trigger a request. And it's never on the first or even second time, I have to speak to them at least 3 times in a row for them to ask me to do something. The other day, I had 2 requests from Felicity and Bubbles within 5 minutes, from talking to them ~3 times. Then I got another from Ozzie after speaking to him multiple times.

Otherwise, villagers usually request me to do something when they're walking around with the thought bubble above their heads, although that doesn't happen often.

I do find them requesting things much more often than at the start though! But if my relationship isn't great with a villager, they won't request anything from me.

They haven't been patched out, don't worry, it'd be really stupid if they were tbh. I'm still getting them as of today! I'm a huge TTer so that may have something to do with it, and it might also relate to friendship levels.

yesterday i did a treasure hunt with moe which counted as a request but that was the first one i got in the month ive been playing. villagers are being moved in and out of my island at the moment so it makes sense if its tied to friendship

I've never gotten a request i have high friendship with like 3 of my villagers and they've never asked for anything. anytime they have a bubble over their head, it's either to move out or to give me something

I haven't gotten that many. Some days I'll get a few, while other times I'll go days without a single one.

Yes, I'm getting them more frequently now, but I have to talk to villagers a few times in a row to get them (sometimes up to 6-7!).

I actually started having more and more requests... I wondered the opposit, if they didn't patch it so we would get more haha.
Those days I'll play 3/4hours in a row in the afternoon and I'll have up to 5/6 requests sometimes! It does vary though. And it's mostly to give me stuff or ask me to buy things/catch things for them.

They don't ping for requests that much. You need to talk to them repeatedly to get most of the requests.

Yes, occasionally. Once a day if I play a lot of hours. Once every few days if I don't.

Thanks for the confirmations everyone! Glad to know it wasn't removed / glitched. I found it strange because even though I time travel I talk to my villagers quite a lot everyday so my friendship levels shouldn't have fallen that much. I'll try to talk more though

Yes. I've been getting them alot more. I have found that I only ever get 1-2 tasks per day and you have to talk to a villager at least 3 times, usually on the 3rd time they'll give me a task/ask me a favor. Yesterday I got a weird one I hadn't gotten before: Kidd told me he buried treasure somewhere on the island and I had 6 minutes to go find it. It was pretty cool.

I just checked my Nook Miles app and I've had 18 requests since launch apparently. definitely feels like less.
I'm kinda glad they toned down the requests but I think they might've toned them down a bit too much. I think I've gone over a week without one request at this point

i rarely ever get them. makes me so sad. I've only been asked twice for a fish or bug but I have found lost items.
