Homeschoolers are losers.
^^ :veryhappy: There's what I was talking about.
However I'm not homeschooled, so I have no problem with this. I just think this is a bit random.
Quoting the wrong posts leads to mass confusion. D:
Lol, no, I was just... no wait I've confused myself... <_<

I am, but I'm taking classes at the U of M as well. I manage my time terribly, however, so I've fallen a little (or more than a little...) behind in my high school stuff... luckily I caught up pre-calc, though, having finished a semester's worth of study in 3 weeks. :)
You fall behind> Poppycock
It happens, believe it or not. ;)
I'm way behind in Trig. Luckily my teacher is ******** and I can say I turned it in when I haven't and get a 100%.
Wow, and I thought I was lucky with my school arrangement... haha. Nah, seriously though, homeschooling + PSEO is a FANTASTIC mix. You get the amazing flexibility of homeschooling for high school stuff, and the socialization and "regular" school for college classes. It's great.
My teacher is never prepared. It seems like she goes home the night before to learn the lesson. We were supposed to learn this lesson on radicals and stuff, but my teacher forgot how to do it then she learned it over the night and came to school and tried to teach us it.

How did home schooling turn into a discussion about bras? I say bras fail, they hide some of a woman's best assets when it gets cold.

No I am not Home Schooled, Being Home-Schooled means you lose your social skills most of the time. Unlike you use the internet a whole lot like Mega.
Hah, you're just spewing the usual anti-homeschooler BS. The only remarks I've heard from my friends at the U were similar to "oh, you seem a lot older"... well, sure I do, it's because I was homeschooled... and I have yet to hear anything about my lack of "social skills".

And this is why our public schools are complete crap. Why else do you think almost 1/4 of American ADULTS are illiterate? Not to mention high school graduates who can't read their own freakin' diplomas...

Public schools are pretty screwed up. But I turned out perfectly fine.

Yeah, it does depend on the student to some extent... but for the most part, the "teachers" in public schools are terrible. And they complain about low wages!

i wasn't homeschooled, but my neice is, and i'm going to be homeschooling my kids. after i went through having a gun drill at school turning into a man coming into my school with a machine guy, i'm not even going through the thought of sending my kids off to a school where that may happen to them... there's no telling what schools are going to be like when my kids are old enough to be going.

i'll have to dissagree with you there, I think it's all about your work ethic. teachers can't be blamed if you choose not to listen, or do an assignment.

i'm sorry to point this out, but you saying that proves you know absolutely nothing about home schooled kids. my neice, being home schooled, has weekly events with other kids that are also homeschooled... she goes out more than me when i was in school. i was the gamer type who stayed in and never really got into the going out every friday night thing...

but yeah, definately wrong. homeschooled kids have closer bonds with their friends, along with going out and meeting others just as much, or more than kids that are in public schools.

i would say that kids that go to unisex schools are more messed up with social skills than kids that are home schooled.

One of my friends is home schooled and he's like in Middle School. I'm like his only friend.
I can relate sam thing with me Have a friend [his only] and hes homeschooled niot saying EVERYONES like this though
yeah... i agree with this. i went to public schools, and there were kids who only had 1-2 friends at most. you know the type if you go to school... the kids that sit in the back, don't really say much, and you have to really think to even remember their names. it's the type of person that is quiet - it doesn't necessarily mean that home schooling makes you antisocial... there are many social events you can go to being homeschooled.
