Are there more animals in the gc version of Animal Crossing than DS? Yes or no, and why?

If I remeber correctly, it's basically the same amount.

Nintendo was going to creat animal crossing 2 but i don't know what happend...

Well they had it in Japan, but it only had a few extra things. IGN says it was cancelled for US release, but I don't think it was even planned.

Well, your wrong on one little point there storm. The train station monkey, Porter is gone with, Wisp, Jack, Jingle, Chip, Don Resetti, Farley and Franklin are gone but with some new ones that are Brewster, Celeste, Dr.Shrunk, Harriet, Lyle and Pascal. So for new addition in AC:WW are 6 and old ones 8. So there are 2 more animals in Animal Crossing for the Gamecube. But if you were talking about villagers, there are the same amount. So in the games, there are different amounts, with some different characters.

And isn't Animal Crossing 2 for the Revolution? Thats what I thought it was.

Well in Japan the next GCN title was called Doubutsu no Mori +

It's considered AC2.

Kind of confusing....

Animal Crossing 2 is pretty much Animal Crossing: Wild World. Its the second installment. If anyone knows where to find a Animal Forest rom, let me know via pm.

Oh, I didn't bother counting villagers because I assumed they were the same.

I think there were a little over 300 villigers on the GC, while a little less on DS.

The next AC will be on the Rev. At first they were going to put it on GC, but I made more sinse to put it on the next gen console so that it wouldn't just be more of the same.
