Apparently K.K. House is a song associated with the “grumpy” mood

As in, when you make a mood request, K.K. Slider plays it when you say you’re feeling grumpy. Usually the songs are associated with what mood they bring, and the songs in the “grumpy” category are like K.K. Metal and K.K. Adventure (both which I can understand.)

But for me, K.K. house is one of the most feel-good songs in the whole game. I don’t understand the logic behind that lol.

EDIT: K.K. Etude is in the “Sad” category and that song has a tune that legit cracks me up sometimes. What.

The mood requests are meant to match the mood though, and it’s mostly consistent with the categories the songs are in.

I just went and listened to it with this in mind. It's fast paced, but it's not exactly cheerful. I don't know the music theory terms to describe it, but perhaps the way the musical phrases feel kind of unfinished rather than resolved has to do with it. I think it might also be in a minor key, which can take away from the cheerful sound and make it sound a bit edgier. It may just be a case of the game makers not really having a better category for it, so they went with the closest thing.

It's also possible it's a translation thing. Maybe the word that the translators decided would be "grumpy" in English was a Japanese word that has a slightly different meaning that suits the song better.

Listening to it again recently, I actually somewhat agree.

But K.K. Etude being sad?? I think it should’ve been in the “hard mood to explain” category.
