Anyone else frustrated with the lack of sisterly/uchi villagers?

I have had this problem since New Leaf. I want at least one villager of each personality type so the dialogue options don't get boring too quickly, but I just can't find a sisterly villager I really like. There are half as many sisterly villagers as almost every other personality type (besides smug) so I just feel like the pickings are slim. This isn't to say I don't like any of the sisterly villagers, I think a few of them are cool but they're just not my style. I think I might pick Fuchsia because I like everything about her design except the bangs.

I was wondering if other people have this same problem because most of my friends who play AC have a sisterly villager they like and my sister even has two living on her island. I just wish they converted more villagers to sisterly when they created the personality type, that or they added a couple more to New Horizons instead of just Reneigh.

Secondly, I agree with you. Uchi is my absolute least favorite of the personality types, not because of the personality themselves but because of the lack of variety. I really only like four or five of them.

I was super frustrated the other day when island hoping!
I couldn't find a sisterly villager in any of the 19 islands I visited!
So I have every type, 2 normal, 2 lazy and NOW 2 snooty because the game refuses to let me have a sisterly after I got rid of my first sisterly :c

Looks like there are twenty-four sisterly villagers in the game. Of those, I think I like... two of them. Maybe three if I'm feeling particularly open-minded. Some of the others are tolerable. But, yeah, I agree, feels like a very small selection compared to the other personalities.

i totally agree! my list of dreamies originally had no uchis on it because i didn't really like any of their designs and didn't want to force myself to get a villager i don't like just for the personality. now pashmina and reneigh have grown on me, but those are really the only uchis whose designs i like. it's a shame because i really like the personality, they're the closest we'll get to a "punk" personality type haha

I like so many of the uchi villagers, I kind of have the opposite problem! I want all of them! I think Agnes is my favorite. She lived in my NL town for a looong time.

I'm lucky to have one I love! and a few others I like, but I agree there should be a wider variety.. they get a bad rep for being the 'ugly' personality and I don't think it's because they were intended to be

Yeah finding a sisterly is hard and well designed sisterly is ... welp
The game just loves to slap clashing neon eye make up on them or weird lipstick on them.

Meee! I'm having a really time finding an uchi cause I need to have at least one of each personality in my town but there aren't really any uchi designs I like all that much.
My town is natural themed with brown/orange/yellow colors so that makes my choices even more limited. I was thinking Frita since I love fast food but I dunno, her colors might be a little too intense.. I especially don't like her eyeshadow lol
My other choices are currently Deirdre & Agnes.

There definitely needs to be more uchis! I love talking to them, their personality is great but I don't like most of their designs at all ;w;

I signed up for the forum in 2014 and I was just remarking to my sister that if I tried to get this username in 2020 it would definitely be gone (and it is because I took it haha) I grew up with Moomins because my grandma is Finnish so seeing their huge influx in popularity online was surprising but also very nice. I'm glad they have brought so many other people joy.

Also I agree, I like the personality a lot it's just that there's too few of them and the designs get kind of samey

i feel this way about the uchis and the smugs! i don't really LOVE any of them. i liked Pashmina and Fuchsia a lot in NL and i do adore Paula's hair + headband combo (from a design perspective), but the lack of choice and their rude personality makes me dislike them a fair amount. but i'll always have at least one, because i like to have villagers of every personality in my game.

i hate how so many of them have bangs??? it’s not cute imo :/// agnes is probably my fav for nostalgic reasons (and she’s frickin adorable) with phoebe close behind. neither of them really match my island theme this time around though, which sucks bc i need an uchi for sure!! there should definitely be more.

Yea most of them suck tbh only a few are actually good like Mira, Cherry, Muffy, and Fuchsia

tammy and shari are adorable. I also like deidre and fuschia. But, yeah. I agree. It's a bit lacking.

Yeah there's not that many uchi villagers and even fewer ones I like.... one thing that stood out to me when I was looking through the list was that there were literally no blue uchis?? I kinda ended up having a lot of blue villagers so I figured I might as well complete the theme but now I either have to abandon it or compromise with a non-blue uchi :/

Diva is blue! A lot of people don’t particularly like her, though.


Canberra is my favorite uchi, though I do think her house interior is downgraded compared to New leaf.

I agree 100%. The only uchi villager I like is in fact Fuchsia too. If I had one other, maybe Deirdre, but I rather go with Fuchsia than her if I had to choose. I mean, they're not all too bad, but I do wish there was more. :/

I agree somewhat. I think Pashmina and Deirdre are on par with other top tier villagers, and Fuchsia, Agnes, and Phoebe look good too. Then there’s ones that aren’t as conventionally cute but really grow on you, like Katt or Muffy for example.

I think the advantage of the personality is literally it’s personality—I’ve found them most enjoyable out of all types in NH, and think that the dialogue more than makes up for the appearance this time around! ^ｪ^

@Cancoon I have 3 smug villagers so I know your pain. My starter sisterly villager was Sylvia and she was the first villager I had move out, I just wasn't really a fan of her :/

@peachmilke That's sad people think they're ugly I think most of them are cool, they're just not my cup of tea. My sister has Deirdre on her island and I like to visit her when I go over to play!

@cloudmask I really like the personality too it's just the designs I'm iffy on. Reneigh lives on my sister's island so I'm content with just visiting her lol

@ceribells I have this problem with normal villagers. I have to stop myself from having an island of all normal villagers because then I'd just be living with a book club.

@biksoka Lol the weird lipstick is definitely a problem. I liked Mira until I realized her mouth was kind of a strange crooked human smile.

@Akaza Yeah I have the same problem of their designs clashing with my town. I like some of the bolder sisterly villagers like Cherry and Muffy but they just don't really go with my island's vibe :/

@overose Pashmina is another on of my top choices but I once again have an issue with the bangs

@xoons I had Agnes for a while in New Leaf and I think she's cute but once again not the vibe I'm after. And the BANGS, I feel like the only blunt bang villager I like bangs and all is Merry

@mizzsnow 1. Nagisa! Such an underrated character I love her 2. I love the idea of all blue villagers and I'm sorry that you might have to scrap it My sister has Hornsby on her island and I basically forced her to make everything around his house blue just so I can sing the annoying "I'm blue da ba dee" song whenever I see him.
