Anyone else frustrated with the lack of sisterly/uchi villagers?

Back when New Leaf came out I would have said the same thing.

Now, that's not the case. Either if I've gotten less picky with age or I've learned to appreciate the designs more. I wouldn't mind having a third to half of the sisterly villagers in my town, and I would tolerate more. They appear to have been designed to be more mature looking rather than cutesy, which tends to go against the aesthetic preference of the majority.

I have Katt in my town. Back in 2013 I would've given her the boot ASAP. Now I love having her and I don't know yet what option I'll pick when she eventually asks to move.

I don't like a single Uchi. We need more species options, like cat, tiger, wolf, etc, and just more uchis to choose from in general.

Speaking of such, the wolves are under appreciated. We have a bunch of Snooty and Cranky wolves, but none for Uchi, Lazy, or Jock, and only 1 for Peppy, Smug and Normal.

I have to agree, even though i dont mind Hazel and Pashmina. I always feel like there are just like ten of them for some reason.

Uchi villagers were also my least favorite personality as well because there was not many, if there was more uchi with different species, I would've liked them more.

Diva is blue! A lot of people don’t particularly like her, though.

Canberra is my favorite uchi, though I do think her house interior is downgraded compared to New leaf.
Diva is actually more purple. She was one of my originals and FINALLY moved out today. That being said I do eventually want to give the uchi personality another chance. I’m sure they aren’t all as rude as Diva

YES. I avoid uchis in both versions of AC just because I feel nothing towards any of the designs. I'm sure I'd be fine with the personality itself, but the villagers they have in it are so... hm. It's wild to me that they only added 1 new uchi! They really should've added a few more if they were adding villagers already because the lack of options in the personality type was a very common complaint within new leaf.

Agree I don't like any of them, if I had to pick in NL I always picked cherry bc she was the least horrifying imo

i'm not really the biggest fan of most uchi designs and i gave them the cold shoulder in NL, so having to start out with one in NH is really interesting, all things considered. i quite liked renée, but she eventually wound up not fitting with my town/villager theme when i changed it, so i booted her eventually, alongside a majority of the villagers i did have. but what do you know, after beau asked to move out and i kinda forgot to fill his plot, someone's fuchsia took it up. does her design fit with the rest of my villagers? no. do i care? maybe. do i still love fuchsia because she calls me precious? yes.

the thing is, a lot of uchi's don't seem to be appealing (design wise) and i initially considered not having any, but this hot pink deer lady stole my heart. </3

Yes!! It sucks because like a lot of other people have said, I really love the uchi personality, but man why do most of them look so weird... I only like the looks of like. 3 of them lol. And even then its just cause theres not many options to choose from

Let's hope if they have a villager update for New Horizons, they add more Uchi and Smugs (the two types added in New Leaf). Though I suppose people don't have this issue with Smugs because many of them have nice designs.

As for me, I defaulted to Cherry. I thought I would like Muffy, but found her a bit scary to have around town.

Been having this exact struggle... Was given Renee at first and she's funny with sass, but also completely rude. I let her go... I'm gonna try Hazel next.

Yeah...I’m not a fan of most of their designs, so I had a really hard time choosing one. I decided Pashmina would fit best with my other villagers, and I scanned her in for the first time yesterday. Happily, she is cuter than I expected! I’m looking forward to seeing how I like her once she lives here.

It's definitely frustrating in that the limited selection of uchi villagers caters less to the variety of aesthetics different players want. I'm the kind of player who doesn't really do dreamies (other than Melba LOL) or what top tier villagers are considered to be here, but I have to respect that a lot of people want that cutesy aesthetic and it suffers from a lack of uchi options. And the uchis that DO get popular are always the edgy/goth lookin ones like Cherry and Muffy and kinda Agnes which I don't care for.

I got Ursala as my starter, and I'm happy to keep her. She looks like she could actually be my big sister, and I've given her a few more cute dresses to wear and like I'm not OBSESSED with her but when I look at the list of uchis I don't think I could've picked a better one.

i honestly like a lot of the uchi villagers. i adore fuchsia, she's so sweet lol, but i would say that compared to other personalities, i would say that there aren't really many of them that are universally popular like raymond, marshal, and more. like a lot of their designs were obviously not meant to be super cute and never turned out to be crazy popular, so it makes sense that a lot of people's least favorite personality is uchi.

Ah, I thought I was the only one running into this issue. I gave up Flo since her basic house (starter villager) wasn't the business. The only one I like from the Uchi list is Reneigh but getting her is likely hard and my wife already have her on her island. Maybe when she's tired of Reneigh, I can adopt her. For now, I'm place holding that slot with a normal villager.

Ironically I had 3 at one point! Cherry, Agnes & Phoebe! I liked all 3, especially how all 3 seem to have different interests. Agnes likes playing, & she runs round a lot, fishes, catches bugs etc. Phoebe seems to like fitness and is always working out, she does yoga a lot and plays in the town square. Cherry loved singing! She sang constantly! Cherry has moved out and I now have Agnes & Phoebe and I don’t even seem to get much repeated dialogue so far.
