Anyone complete the 16 villager cycle? (also my experience)

Basically, when a villager moves out, you have to cycle 16 villagers to be able to get them back. I decided that I'd take however long it took to get my beloved Jacques back. Thankfully, the person I let adopt him kept it touch with me and let me have him back once I cycled 16, she even let me visit him regularly, making the process slightly more tolerable ;3; There were many times where I wanted to give up, especially after losing 2 other dreamies in the process but..IT WAS SO WORTH THESE CUTE MOMENTS ;n; <33
I'm gonna share my pics/experience, just cause I find it all to be really adorable and might give others motivation to complete the cycle themselves!
Will put it all in a spoiler just because its fairly long *-*

MY HEART ;_; this made me so sad but only motivated me more to cycle to get him back *~*

him reassuring me he still remembered me ;n;

and finally..i completed the cycle!! he was in boxes for me a few days later, no words for how excited i was<3

Aw this is so cute ;o;
I've only done the 16 cycle for one villager. Teddy was a starter in Primrose, but his house was in a horrible spot (right behind Re-Tail) so I let him go and I slooowwly cycled for him.
It was definitely worth it! I didn't pick up the exact same Teddy as the one who left, but I was still very glad to get my big bear back ^^

I wish I had that motivation to cycle Tammy or Rod back, but they found great homes and I don't think I'd have the patience to do that lol. I honestly wojd have probably quit and thats a good thing for me since I'm able to have new and different sets of dreamies come into my town. Very happy for you though! That's so awesome how he remembered you.

Good job there! I actually did the same with Marshal. I understand that feeling when you get a villager back like it's so very much worth it despite the tediousness of cycling

Congrats on getting Jacques back! Loved the pics, very cute, so awesome he kept all his memories of you and your town I've done the 16 cycle once in my (now abandoned) side town, for Diva. That took about about a weekend of TTing, it wasn't so bad because there were quite a few villagers I was cycling through anyway. In Cinnabar, I'm slowly cycling for Dizzy, but with no TTing. It'll take a very long time as I don't let villagers move often, but he's living in my storage town waiting for me, and I visit him often ^_^

Aww it's an awesome feeling to get a dreamie back after cycling through 16. It must be even more awesome to get back the exact same version of the villager! It's just so cute how he remembers you! I'm so happy for you!

I have one experience... I lost Skye time-travelling and had never been that sad because of a game before. I couldn't get back the same Skye I had lost but it was still an awesome feeling to have her in my town again! I time travelled to get her back so it took about a month. I recall I also lost someone important in the process but it was still worth it.
Just curious... How long did it take for you to get Jacques back?

Congrats. I'm actually doing the 16 villagers cycle currently. I want to get Chester and Cobb back. I let my fiance have Chester... I might ask her if I can have him back just get a new Chester. Lol. Cobb was cool though. I wasn't able to adopt him out so he's a lost.

I just lost Diana while trying to TT out a village to make space for Lolly. I really want her back, so I visited my sons' town to see if she end up there and had his character visit mine. So I really have to cycle 16 before she's in boxes to have her back? Or can I just have an open space when she's in boxes and ask her to come back?

I lost Roscoe because of a tt mistake, but I am only 4 villagers away to complete the cycle. It is sad to see him on Main Street though.
