Animal Crossing Twitter's next move...

Okay but the way Josh writes can come across quite provocative and I can't really blame people for being upset with that.

People with an influencer position should have the virtue to either:

- Not show their (controversial) personal feelings

Or

- Word their opinions in inoffensive ways

Both of these Josh fails at miserably and thus it was to be expected that this would happen. I disagree with it for sure, but the only logical response to his behavior for many people is just to simply fire back, and he should realize that.

What I'm saying is that he can prevent all this by just not being as fierce.

Also it’s crystal clear to me that OP is nothing but a vile supporter of hate speech (camouflaged as “free speech”). You can go to hell, OP
You're the only one using names here. I swear on my life that I support LGBT people - 100%.
You can call me what you want - I still don't agree with cancel culture.

Remaining neutral or defending folks who clearly use their channels for hate speech is not supporting LGBT community. Get out here with that

I didn’t even post it. Lmao. But I was refering to you saying how that post was meant to vilify someone else! Have you not seen what she does? Are you blind or simply homophobic as well?

I opened it up (like I said, I don't know who she is), and then closed it. She may well be those things - but it's not something I want to get involved with. It's just more drama in what's supposed to be a relaxed community.

Seems to me you simply showed your true colors in this thread. I will not continue to engage with someone who would rather stand up for homophobic, racists and trump supporters over marginalized groups. A relaxed community is not an excuse to allow and justify racism and homophobia in it. I’m not here to just “chill” w people like you and those you defend. You’re disgusting

Can you not get personal, please? I haven't been personal once. I think we can probably have a civil discussion. I don't want an argument, please.

Yes, he's done some very stupid things on Twitter. Yes, he deserved to have his Twitter suspended - but I don't see that on his YouTube channel. He just.. does Nintendo stuff. And when someone asks him what his political viewpoint is, he responds to them. Don't tell me that I don't support LGBT people. I just don't see why people should be dragging a person for what they have said in the past, just for the sake of it.

Do you hear yourself? Really? In *none* of his videos does he promote a political viewpoint. He isn't on Twitter anymore. He has no problem with people of any political belief/gender, he has made it clear in his questions he takes from viewers. Think again before you accuse me of something serious.
are you kidding me? he literally talks about voting republicans in his instagram. he links to his instagram account on his youtube channel and his most recent video (the only content by him I've ever watched) literally ends on a screen with his instagram username on it.

recruiting young white men into hate groups through video games (and other "nerd" hobbies) is a common alt-right tactic. steve bannon, yes, that steve bannon, talked about it in very clear terms.

Bannon became fascinated with the collective power of the gamers who gathered on these sites, according to journalist Joshua Green, who wrote a book, “Devil’s Bargain ,” about Bannon’s rise in the Trump administration. Selling virtual currency was highly unpopular among many gamers, and they railed against IGE in these chat rooms, putting pressure on the companies that operated the games not to partner with IGE.

“These guys, these rootless white males, had monster power,” Bannon told Green.

Bannon said he hoped to harness that power with Breitbart News, the website he ran starting in 2012 until he joined the Trump campaign last year.

young white boys grew on the promise that they'd be on top of the world as adults, but the reality is very different: most young white men are broke, they can't afford housing, they can't get a job. a lot of these young men turn to video games for escapism, and the alt-right has turned these gaming communities into breeding grounds for fascists.

Supporting a fascist who happens to not post fascist content on a youtube channel is still supporting a fascist.
