Try used gaming stores. I've seen some in one.
I did a trade using an online site for the city that I lived in. To be safe I met them in a coffee shop and did the trade.
The person was trading and selling cards.
try your local craigslist maybe? or game/trading card game stores. a couple stores in my area that sell trading cards also have some amiibo related stuff included the animal crossing cards
As Inka said, Cex are selling singles and if I buy any, that is where I will be getting mine from. Otherwise try your local gaming shop. Or you could trade with people on here? Can't remember which board it is now, maybe the post office. Think people post them to each other
I do think more people will start selling singles with this new update. The cards are going to become much more popular
Live in Canada so most of the people here are US and the postal exchange for the 2 is like 5-12$ for a single card xD I'd rather just go pay the outlandish ebay prices.. I'll check out whatever this CEX is though.

I live in Canada and went with UsedCanada. You type in Used and than add your city name.
Found a person selling and trading cards online. Meet the person at the coffee shop to be safe and the card was in excellent condition.
