The first thing I used to do back when I still didn’t have much stuff was to hit the shops, see what was for sale at Nooks and stop by at Able sisters to talk to Sable and buy new clothes. But ever since my storage hit its maximum capacity, that’s pushed down on my priority list, so I have a new routine!
Check mail for gifts and letters (recently been looking forward to this because of the chance to get framed photos from villagers lol)
Look for villagers to give gifts to
Check the whole island for NPCs and usually end up catching some sharks and rare bugs along the way
Sell some stuff at Nooks and at the same time look at what’s for sale. Pop into Ables real quick to look at the clothes there
Swim and look for Pascal and hope it doesn’t take more than 5 minutes.. as well as hope he isn’t giving out a pearl lol
usually that’s it! after that I usually just do whatever. Maybe terraform a bit or just do some more swimming. Or, more often than not, I log into my alt accounts to look for Pascal as well lol.
Natsumi (Main Character/Island Rep.): Find Fossils for the day, shake her daily money tree, plant a new one, and then find her daily money rock. Have fossils assessed, and then give two to each Summer and Cafe (since they both need the money more than Natsumi), see what song is being sold today and if I need it then buy it.

find fossils and note where they are, dig up in the evening when they stop triggering the achievement giving me miles for accessing my excess ones
the order i do them is decided by the nook mile achievements
- check mail
- run around the island looking for fossils and special visitors, and clean up flowers, weeds and sticks
- give ken a gift (he’s the only one whose picture I haven’t received yet)
- do some nook mile tasks if they are easy/fast
- hit all my rocks
- maybe dive for scallops/pascal but I’ve been lazy mostly
that routine takes me about 30mins to an hour and then I’ll usually log off until later after work.
- Check the mail. I sort it between things that are to go in the house now, items I've ordered for others, and things to go around town/gifts for villagers. Anything that goes into the house or is an advance purchase (birthday gifts, generally), is placed/put in storage. The rest are sorted in my pockets for easy identification.
- Sweep the island for fallen sticks, weeds, fossils, unwanted flower spawns, shells, and bottle. I'll also keep an eye for the glow spot and get my 10K bell nursery tree and potential lily of the valley.
- Chop the fully-grown bell tree and replant with the nursery tree.
- Check my flower patch for hybrid spawns. Cull out unwanted spawns, replant good ones. Water.
- Get fossils assessed and decide whether any are ones I want for decorating around the island.
- Hit my two rocks. One is a permanent and the other is smashed after farming. I just haven't found a good place for more to stay.
-Reorganize my pockets to see what materials I want to keep and what can be sold. I'll usually run back to the house to throw a few things in storage.
- Check in with any villagers who are awake. I'll also note who the NPC of the day is.
- Go to RS and check the recycle box and get my miles for the day. I usually check the shopping there, since I'm already at the machine.
- Park myself outside the shop.
At this point, I usually put the game to sleep because I have to go to work. I pick up once I get home and settled in.
- Hit the shop, selling any unwanted/unneeded items. Check to see what's for sale, maybe restock my supply of customization kits.
- Go to the tailors' shop. Talk to Mabel and Sable, see if there's anything of interest to purchase.
- Dive for a scallop and trade with Pascal.
- Check in with the NPC.
- Deposit money into my account.
- Visit with the rest of my villagers.
- Do some minor tweaks to my house or areas on the island I'm still working on
- Island hop to visit friends or do a few trades.
