ACNH POSITIVITY Thread

With the ability to craft and cook from storage, I'm more motivated than ever before to gather and store resources and crops. It feels good to be able just walk up to a crafting or cooking station and having everything I need at my finger tips. Where as before, having to look at the items needed, and then pull materials out of storage was too monotonous and time consuming.

The only thing that could make this even better is if they could better streamline recipes that rely on crafted components as materials. Some cooking recipes, for example, require sugar or flour, which are something that must be crafted separately beforehand. It would be great if these prerequisite items could be crafted automatically as part of the process.

i've just recently returned to acnh after 4 years away thanks to the new update and i've been having so much fun! i cleared out a big part of my island so i could do some new stuff and have projects to work on again and it feels like i never left :')

The upgraded crafting features are awesome. I didn't even realize how much money could be made off the 'hot' items because it was such a pain to make stuff to sell before. It makes me wish even more there were seafood recipes as well because I always enjoy diving.

yep, my brother said that he made 400,000 bells just by crafting iron tables, as those were a hot item that day for him.

I really like the new tourist mechanic. I saw Hopper walking around the other day and it really brought back some sentimental memories. He was in my very first town ever when the gamecube version came out and he eventually moved away, so seeing him was nostalgic.

Old residents also showing up and remembering you is also very wholesome! 💜

It also helps that he gives both a pearl and a mermaid-themed clothing/DIY now after the update, and not just one or the other like before.
Sometimes, he’ll also give two pearls a day. Bro is generous as hell. 💖

I've been surprised at how many pearls I've been getting--brought home three in one dive and that didn't even include the one I got from Pascal in the dive before that.

you know, I really like the tone that the music has in this game (especially in the 12PM music) when it’s raining or snowing.

I prefer it, over the “tingling” that was in WW, CF, and NL. ^_^

For once, I kind of want this snow to stick around, since I do like the frozen furniture, and I do love how you can customize it into other colors.

However, when the snow does melt away, that means one thing: COELACANTHS!!! 😎💙🖤

Can't you still catch them during snowing times? In other games you could, and I'm pretty sure everything says they can be caught when it's snowing as well.

Unfortunately, you cannot. ;-;
I heard this was the case in the GameCube version too.

I discovered something interesting about the pendulum clock.

It will chime when it gets to the top of the hour. And it will chime, depending on the time. For example, if it’s 1:00 AM/PM, it will chime once. If it’s 2:00 AM/PM, it will chime twice.

And so on. ^_^

I love Cuckoo clocks in RL--I got one in-game the other day and should put it in the main room where I spend more time.

One feature of NH that is so helpful is not having to constantly water flowers.

I do love not having to water any of the flowers or risk them wilting. I just wish they toned down on how invasive the flowers can be lol!

Even if villagers often seem flat in this version of Animal Crossing compared to previous installments, there is something I appreciate (besides in-person gift-giving and cheering up villagers).

Sometimes, villagers will ask you a question, and you can actually type in your own answer. I love that.

On top of that, Apollo actually asked me my dream job earlier today. Dream jobs are a topic I am very passionate about. 🥹 💕
As I have stated on here many times, my dream job is to be an author, so that is what I typed in. 📝📚

re: the same dialogue, yesterday there was this conversation with Chrissy and how whenever she moved she didn't feel comfortable for a while. Later out of the blue Anicotti said the same thing (had never seen that particular statement before) and in my mind I was thinking, "Wow, Anicotti, Chrissy just told me the same thing--see? there's someone else who understands perfectly." I think Anicotti was having a particularly emotional day since she had me come over then later spontaneously popped into my house. She is so cute, she cracks me up every time.

ETA: There I was, TTing around a bit, when in the wee hours of the morning Anicotti was wandering around with that terrible thought bubble thingy. I usually ignore the villagers when I do that but decided to see what she was thinking about. She was worried about Ellie because she hadn't seen her in a while. 🥰
