Also it's out now, just go to your home screen hover over ACNH and press + and then manual search for update.

It said 3.4GB when I downloaded it.

I have the physical version and the whole game after the update is 4.5 GB, hope that helps

Oh dang, I didn’t know the update was that big. My internet’s pretty slow at this time but the old updates would have finished for me by now. No wonder it’s taking forever for me, haha.
