Valkyria Chronicles on PC

My BF just bought me Valkyria Chronicles for the PC (via Steam). I think this game looks like a lot of fun and I really like the character and landscape design.

I haven't jumped into it yet but if anyone else plays this game, could you share some tips for a noob? ^^

I've not played the original on PS3/PC due to needing to find a copy and working PS3 (rip mine), but I've played bits of the second one and I really like how it controls and plays. If the first one plays just 2, then it's a third-person strategy shooter. Think Fire Emblem, but with guns. You need to kinda plan how to proceed and use the landscape to your advantage to kick out foreign invaders.
