Hello and welcome to Ivy Town. I named my town that when I had almost nothing in the way of ideas, and there's no going back now. Anyway, I've been mayor since May 2020, after resetting my old file from closer to 2014 (You should've seen that mess. It was beyond saving). So here is my journal, starting with...

In other news, O'Hare asked me to deliver something to Monty. This is O'Hare, so of course I did it.

So I delivered the thing to Monty, and...

So then, he gave me his picture.

I promptly reported back to O'Hare.

In other news, Lyman had fleas. You'd think the town's health nut of all people would be more careful about this.

I'll probably do another post either later today or tomorrow, discussing later events, as well as the town's lore and whatnot. In the meantime, I have to water all the flowers.

Today's the Summer Solstice, so the Sun will be out all day in Ivy Town. You have no idea how off-putting it is for me to hear the 7 pm theme when it's light out!

Lyman had fleas yet again. Dude, you should probably consider taking a shower more often.

This is Anicotti. Like Tala from Moana (which I highly recommend), she's the village crazy lady. Her & Static were kinda the talk of the town a few months ago, but I haven't heard much about their relationship lately, so I'm assuming they've gone their separate ways. She seems to aspire to be a star, to the point where she saw the Sun as competition earlier today (don't have a pic of that). Also, this has nothing to do with anything, but I imagine that she speaks with a Brooklyn accent.

And also, half the town (namely me, Kitt, Anicotti, Lyman, and Skye [and Static, but he didn't get in the photo.]) decided to gather by the town's only bridge. What for, I don't even know.

Hey, I've been busy for a few days, so I haven't had the time to post an update (READ: I was just being lazy). So, here's an update on what happened over the past few days.
It rained a lot last Thursday, as my boy Moe can attest.

I've been playing this game since at least 2014, and I haven't heard this line until 4 days ago.

Also, I went to the Island and got this nice wet suit.

There was also a K.K. concert. He played Steep Hill. Moe was there too, and he was wearing the same shirt I was wearing. That was intentional, mind you.

Yesterday, the Queen herself, Queenie, came to my house for a visit. Seeing as she's here, I might as well show off my WIP of a house.

And this is what happens when you have a few miscellaneous pieces of furniture that kinda have a coherent theme, so you just use that. This has been a tour of Hunter_Gr33n's house by yours truly.

Ly, this is the first time I've seen you sitting in that chair.

Okay, for context, I got an editor's chair from a tree. I gave it to Moe and he kept it in his house for a while. Then it found its way into Re-Tail, where it was eventually picked up by Skye. She later gave it to me, and now Kitt is asking for it. The editor's chair: Going 'Round Ivy Town in a Little Over a Month.

That brings us to today. O'Hare asked me to dig up the time capsule I buried for him late last month. Very creatively, I buried it right outside his house, as can be seen here:

I promptly returned to him and in the time capsule was a shirt (forgot which one) and a letter!

The way he ended that letter though... I think he was reading a bit too much into those love letters I sent him last Spring.
Also I had a day-long escapade looking for Static when Monty asked me to deliver something to him.

I'm beginning to think Monty and Static might be a thing, if you know what I mean.

This all happened between my last post here and the ninth of July.

Um... You're a boy, Pashmina's a girl, and last time I checked, neither of you have any gender dysphoria. The fact that you two are friends should answer her question immediately. Yes. Girls and boys can be friends.

Pashmina, I don't think "turf war" means anything like what you think it means...

Yes, Anicotti, there are people lost in my house. They live inside the walls! Boooooo! (Just kidding, there probably isn't anyone lost in my house)

Got one of the mannequins from Sable.

You know about how sometimes tree stumps have a rare pattern on them? That happened. You can almost see the clover pattern on the stump if you squint.

Pashmina also wanted me to bury a time capsule for her. Naturally, I buried it in a painfully obvious location. I forgot where, as this was a few days ago, but I bet it was within walking distance of her house.

And Kitt is probably the only person in the universe who would read about famous garbage cans. How would a garbage can be famous anyway?

Found mushrooms beside the stump. It isn't even fall yet. We're still in July.

I wonder what happens in Gulliver's dreams when he says things like that.

Queen Queenie foreshadows the crafting mechanic of New Horizons.
Also, you know how I said that I thought Anicotti and Static had gone their separate ways? Well, according to Anicotti, they had a sort of fight, and now she wants to make up for it. And how else does she do it than asking your local delivery boy to deliver it to Static.

Redd the Con Man was in town the other day, and I got this nice, only slightly weird statue from him. The Capitoline Wolf. The more I think about it, it seems a bit disturbing having a statue like that in the AC universe.

Anicotti's reaction to me catching some fleas that were on her. Maybe you shouldn't bathe in grape soda of all things. What were you thinking?!

Aaaaaand that brings us to today (technically yesterday as of me writing this), the 9th of June! Today's the birthday of everyone's favorite electric squirrel (that isn't from Pokemon): Static himself!

Oh, and Skye was also there.

I gave Static a nice, expensive-looking Florence flask. I think he liked it.

Skye, that was in March. We're in July now, and I think Static was the one who showed up at your party that day. Or did you mean your birthday party next year? If you meant that, probably Static again.

The Saga of the what and the what?! I know "Pro Listener" is from one of the rumors about the player that cand happen by doing a lot of favors for the villagers, but WHERE did you get a gold bracelet from, Queen?!

Ly, I don't mean to be a killjoy, but I don't think thumb wrestling will do much in the way of stopping anyone suspicious. It doesn't seen very effective.

Probably an appropriate reaction to something like that...

Strangely, I've only ever heard of Lyman and Moe's apparent rivalry in this dialog. Other than that, there's been nothing to suggest a rivalry between them.
Also, Lyman and Moe canoeing... Sounds interesting.

Got this line from Monty. It was around 1 in the morning, and I don't usually play much after 11. I think this might've been my first time hearing this.

The next afternoon...

Surprise visit from the Queen herself.

...And I was never heard from again after I entered her house.

And there was this 4th-wall breaker from when she wanted me to blow out the candles on the cake.

And she gave me this tacky hat that I decided to wear for the rest of the day.

Actually, that sounds really good right now.

Censored out the nickname I let Anicotti address me as because, as I wrote in the picture, it contains personal information.

(And yes, I did change his catchphrase to that.)

Spoiler: INTERMISSION: Editor's Chair update

Well, now it's Static's chair. This thing can never remain in the same place for more than a few weeks at most.

Well, at least the tarantula waited until the conversation ended. I marked the tarantula via image editing so you know where it is in relation to everything.
Also, I found something interesting:

On the console owner's birthday, the folder for images from the birthday in question on Nintendo 3DS Camera is marked with a cake instead of the date.

So apparently my last post here was back when Camp TBT started?! Time to change that.

To start off, the donation goal for the Roost was completed shortly after my last update.

And this was what it looked like on the inside. The barista's hard at work, the stools have just been put in place, the tiles know no grime or dust.

And the day after that was O'Hare's birthday. Goddamn I love this guy way more than I should. CylieDanny, if you're reading this, did I sound weird when I was simping over him during the first half of your rabbit hunt?

And the town mom Kitt was the special guest to the event!

I also gave him a lava lamp as a present. He seemed lukewarm at most about it, but...

Explain that then. Not to mention that he would go on to display it in his house starting the very next day.

Oh. Never mind. Forget what I was about to say.

This was just after the Barbie movie hit the theaters, so naturally I managed to get the chorus for Barbie Girl by Aqua stuck in my head once I came across this dialog. Except I just swapped instances of the word "Barbie" with... well, I'm sure you get the idea.

Kicks, I love you, but...
...That just sounded wrong, even with context.

Anyway, Kitt will be moving out soon. I love her and think it will be sad to see her go, but I think it's high time she move on. She's been one of my villagers since I started the save, and she's often asked to move out. I wish her and her child the best in the future.

To memorialize Kitt, Skye's catchphrase shall indefinitely be set to "child".
