Sorry if this was already answered somewhere else, but will the Train Station & Retail boards be closed after the 8th? I noticed that the Auction House & the Gate are closed even though there are now ways to play City Folk online again.

We have not discussed this yet, but I think it's likely. Oblivia stated in an earlier post that the New Leaf board will probably get moved into the General AC forum after the servers shut down and I imagine the NL specific trading boards would be closed at the same time. For the older games that no longer have Nintendo online support, there isn't as much activity so it's common to make threads in the main board for visiting or trading.
This hasn't actually been discussed but I'd say it's likely, yes.

i forgot if it was in this thread but there was a question asked about the bell deductions if posts are edited. i've been moving all of my old posts on my island journal to spoilers once i post a newer post so that it's easier to navigate. i think when i did this (even though i didn't remove content) bells were deducted from my account??
not sure if this is common or working as expected? i can start just posting my posts in the spoiler from the beginning but i'm wondering if that's something that could be tweaked?

Words in spoilers do not count towards your bell count.
ah bummer. i kinda wish this was modified, i feel like it makes navigating island journals easier if they're spoilered so you dont have to scroll through a barrage of images to get to the latest post. i think i can make it work with just my linked table of contents though. thanks!

I'm having issues with the mass action for my inventory. I cant even find what collectible is selected
I suppose it could be considered a grey area, but I don't see an issue given that we don't sell TBT bells for real money. But also just practically speaking... it doesn't matter, nobody at Nintendo is going to track you down for your in-game trades on TBT.
Meta discussion of matters like that is definitely okay and can sometimes be useful for us to know. I will say that in this particular case though we definitely are already well aware of many faults with the inventory management, so I don't know if it will particularly useful, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with musing about it as you say.
Are you still experiencing this issue? As in, is it a consistent issue with your inventory, or something temporary and resolved by refreshing or clearing data? I assume you tried the Deselect all option seen in your screenshot?

does anyone know if you get bells for posting in island journals anymore? does it matter if the thread is closed? i feel like my past couple entries haven’t gotten me any bells.
I just had a look and the feature does seem to be enabled still. I checked and your last two posts in this thread did earn you 15 Bells each.
I was thinking on other GIF hosting sites like Tenor for example in which I have to copy paste the entire URL but instead of the GIF itself, its a link to that GIF. Imgur has a dedicated share links URL for forums by comparison to other gif hosting sites. Again, I'm sorry for not going into detail with that question. Hope this clear things up a bit.

It's on top of the "Item Information" box. But it looks like some collectibles were created on 12/31/1969, which is pretty strange because TBT didn't exist at that point in time. Is that what you were concerned about?

but I would like to know when the actual date or year when the collectible was created /released
