Well I think on the Lego City game Nintendo may have just published it to the WiiU, I'm not sure that means it has to be excluded from other consoles. I just tossed that up cause it may be a reason. But Nintendo published Resident Evil to the GameCube and we all just saw how the HD remaster skipped the WiiU, and they doubled up by skipping the 3DS & WiiU for Revelations 2.
Out of what we've all said, literally the Lego game makes most sense even if Ninty published it, I'm not sure that seals the deal and I'm thinking it probably doesn't. It's just weird that it's a WiiU exclusive kinda.
The Lego games are a bounty on all systems, WiiU & 3DS included, and they don't just reach children either haha. I know plenty of "adults" lol, who've bought lego games recently. My ex bought Lego Hobbit, Batman and Undercover for his WiiU. I just never cared about these games. ZombiU is just so niche, even for WiiU owners. Ngl the demo scared me once, but no sale.
I'll buy it for the WiiU if they do port it to the other systems just so I can actually play it for real and say I have the original.
Ugh I totally thought the same name too for ZombiU remake, "Zombi: Remastered Edition"
Yea, I can see adults getting into Lego games just as much as kids, it's just that it obviously has that much more 'appeal' to kids than ZombiU likely would. I've only ever bought Lego Marvel Superheroes myself (good but a little letdown with it).
I think they're hoping that (assuming it's ZombiU) the hype around the Zombie fad will pull sales and make it less 'niche', which I doubt. Zombie games might not be 'niche' these days but even the unique ones get lost among the masses, let alone 'ZomiU'.
What about that game with the yellow tiger or whatever on it? Isn't it an HD remake of a PS2 game? I have no idea what its named and its coming to WiiU and maybe XB and PS.
I hate the lego games please do not port that nobody will care just as much as no one will care about ZombiU. There must be something we're forgetting that's a WiiU exclusive that could do well on other systems. Does it have to be a physical boxed game?
I assume you mean one of these?
I actually remember hearing about a Wii U remake of 'Legend of Kay' sometime last year. I totally forgot about it until you mentioned it actually. I've never played it and news about it kind of died out, so I forgot about it.
I thought it was going to be a Wii U/Nintendo exclusive though, I could be wrong. If it is, I don't think it would be the port. I'll have to find an article or something about it since I forgot it even existed.
The only other game I can think of with a tiger as the main character was some PS1 game with a kung-fu tiger. Can't remember the name but I doubt it's that anyway.
I can't find anything specifically saying it will be a 'physical box' game, though the same company also ported Deus Ex and Mass Effect 3 to the Wii U. Since they're saying it's their "biggest project yet" I would assume it's a game that got a physical release.
A comment I came across on one of the articles about this:
Please remember that there parent company made Funky Barn on Wii U, so I think an even safer bet will be Funky Barn. It would be faster and cheaper to port than ZombiU would be, and it seems like Ubisoft has abandoned all hope for the IP.
I guess that would be pretty funny.
Though with it being their "biggest project yet", maybe one of the Sonic exclusives (maybe Sonic Boom) will get ported in exchange for Alien Isolation? Just a thought since they're both pretty recent games with the same publisher.
I mean, I've not really heard anything of Sonic Boom after release other than what a botched release it was. The game might work fine now with patches for all I know. Maybe releasing it on PS4/Xbone would be Sega's way of getting fresh reviews on a fixed product, whilst the Wii U version still gets the same support?
I also imagine Alien Isolation would find a way to take advantage of the Wii U gamepad, similar to ZombiU. Especially so if this is a big project.
