Money rock

How do you get every bell from the money rock? Because I read that you need good feng shui but that doesn’t seem to help. Do you just need to be really fast or is it a certain hole set up?

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong but, I believe that the money rock in Wild World, and City Folk can only spew out 8,100 or 8,500 without luck or feng shui? Something around that number. You do need Feng Shui luck if you want to get the last bag of 8000 something? Gamecube was completely different.

Don't you have to dig the holes in the diagonal spots in order to get the 8 bags of bells?
