Extended Nintendo Network and Miiverse Maintenance on 9/30, 11AM to 8PM EDT

Just a quick heads-up for you guys, especially those who play Animal Crossing: New Leaf: on Monday, there will be an extended maintenance period for both Nintendo Network service and Miiverse. This apply to both Wii U and 3DS. This time around, they're going to be down from 11AM to 8PM EDT for every region.

This means you won't be able to connect online with ACNL (via Train Station, Best Friend Communication, Dream Suite, Club Tortimer) for quite a while. When attempting to connect during that moment, you should see an error message telling it's under maintenance. Make sure you don't have any trade planned during the downtime period to avoid any further inconvenience.

That's annoying for timezones around GMT +/- 2 or 3 hours, it's right at the time most people are able to trade. I hope there aren't too many people doing villager trades tomorrow.

I just checked up the Network Maintenance Information page, and Wii U online service is now operating normally! For Nintendo 3DS, some parts of the online services are still experiencing technical difficulties.
Until the maintenance is actually finished, at least before 8PM EDT, some of you may be unable to connect online ACNL.

Yeah, it actually has been since about 1 PM CST (at least I know this to be the case for 3DS). They must have finished what they were doing way ahead of schedule.
