i came up with lumatown because the lumas in super mario galaxy are the cutest

as for pearlsey, i thought of putting two words together for my town name - 'pearl' and 'sea'. pearl because they're white, just like snow (pearlsey's an always-winter town), and sea because... well, your town's always by the sea, isn't it? (otherwise it wouldn't have beaches lol) i then just changed the spelling a little, and boom... i got pearlsey.

both of my towns are far from complete.

around 60 million in lumatown i think...? i can't remember. i also can't remember how much i have in pearlsey.
