Are you excited for Zelda's 30th anniversary? I'm so excited for the games coming next year! I'm going to be getting Twilight Princess HD, Hyrule Warriors Legends, and most definitely Zelda Wii U!!!! So basically, everything Zelda!

I'm personally so proud of how far the games have come so far, and I hope it does nothing but grow and grow for the years to come! So what are you looking forward to most next year? :)

The new Zelda only because i have Hyrule Warriors and the original Twilight Princess already.

If I had a Wii U, I would definitely go for Twilight Princess HD (especially since it would be the best graphical way of playing the game without having a Gamecube with super rare component cables [the Gamecube component produced better picture quality compared to the Wii's component]) and the new Zelda game. One thing I am wondering about is if they will be releasing a special Zelda amiibo like they did with the Mario series (3D NES Link) for the 30th?

I've got the Limited Edition of Twilight Princess HD on pre-order. It's my favorite Zelda game but, I dunno, I don't really get that hyped for HD releases, they're just nice to have.

Zelda U I'm looking forward to, but I don't really know enough about it to get properly hyped other than the expectation that it will be a great game like the others.

They've pushed it back too much and keep giving us updates that somehow reveal nothing new about it (from like 2 years of updates we know it's open world and looks pretty. Like, that's it). It's kind of killed the hype for me since it feels like it's just not gonna happen sometimes.
There's really just nothing for me to get hyped for yet since I already assumed there would be a new Zelda on Wii U, so it's not like a new Zelda being confirmed was ever a surprise. The fact that there is a Zelda U isn't enough to get me hyped on its own. We're still calling it Zelda U, that's how little we know about it (because I'm pretty sure it's not gonna be called Zelda U on release).

Once there's a solid release date and I know what the game is actually gonna be called though, my hype will more than likely kick in.

Hyrule Warriors Legends I'll buy reluctantly. Hyrule Warriors just isn't something I really want to play on a handheld. If there wasn't exclusive content to this version and I didn't have to own it to unlock the content on Wii U, I wouldn't buy it at all.

It's kind of like Smash 4, except the 3DS version of Smash launched first so I enjoyed it until the 'definitive' Wii U version was released (and never touched the 3DS version again), whilst Legends feels like it will just be a downgrade that I'm 'forced' to play for as long as it takes to finish the version exclusive stuff.

linkle ruined it im not celebrating it

The only part that bothers me with Linkle is her name.

They insist she's not just a female Link...Well, why does she have to be named Linkle then?

They practically stripped her of any unique identity the moment they thought that was a good name for her.

Already pre-ordered Twilight Princess HD (with amiibo), and keeping an eye out for the Hyrule Warriors Legends Special Edition to go up. I'm still waiting to see more of Zelda U. It looks pretty, but we really haven't seen much of the game. I'll most definitely get it, I'd just like to know more about the game before I start getting excited.

I'm hoping that they do something special for this anniversary, like announce a weird spin-off in which Zelda has to rescue Link or something. Then again, HW (technically) already fills that role in some parts of the story. I'd just like to see something new, something that isn't just another action-adventure.

Her name possibly plays an important role in her story.
From what we know so far, her grandmother used to tell her stories about the legendary hero, and Linkle believes that she is the reincarnated hero of legend. That's also the reason she becomes involved in the story in HWL.

All the heroes are called "Link", and "Linkle" is just a variation of that. I think her delusions of grandeur partially come from this.

i cant believe its been 5 years since the 25th anniversary already
im so hyped for zelda u

look im fine with a new female character, as long as its not the exact ****ing same as link, i actually believe that loz has one of the strongest female casts of any video game but its just unorigional and probably a response to the tumblr cancer breeding ground and idiots like anita sarkeesian that made this garbage happen

Doubt it, Anita and her buttbuddies hate Linkle to death.

Also, recent memory of Nintendo servicing these people was due to people's responses to the same-sex marriage bug in Tomodachi Life being fixed. And even then, they only said "yeah, in a future installment, maybe". I think that Nintendo also realizes you can't please people that don't even know what they want.
