Mario is a bad guy.

First off, this is the kind of nonsense I would consider in my own brain. But this idea comes from my 8 year old niece! I am so proud!

So the idea is that Mario is actually the villain in the games, at least in the early games (don't take this too literally)

Mario starts by stomping on Goombas. Why? They didn't do anything... he just smooshes them.

As he runs along from side to side, there are turtles 🐢 who get stomped on. Again why?

Eventually the enemies get more difficult, but... it's because they are defending their home from Mario killing/stomping everything and breaking every set of bricks he comes across.

Bowser is actually the good guy trying to save the Princess from these plumbing kidnappers and destroyers.

Think about all of Mario's "enemies". They are all pretty cute. Why does Mario hate the shy guys, for example?

Mario is the villain! 😆

Do you all have any alternate Nintendo character realities?

The story I’ve heard is that Bowser and Peach are actually in love but their love must be kept a secret and so Bowser “kidnaps” the Princess in order to spend time with her and Mario pretends to “save” the Princess to make it believable and so the Toads don’t suspect anything.

So, this sort of adds to the theory. Mario is a sneaky deceitful little dude. According to your theory, Mario kills hundreds of innocent beings for public image with the Toads.

Why is this suddenly feeling like world politics 😆

The “enemies” are in on the whole thing as well. They fake their own deaths to keep up the charade. And since they don’t wear any identifiable clothes or accessories, they just come out of hiding after a little bit and the Toads don’t realize that it’s the same Goomba Mario “killed” five minutes ago.

Mario actually has a darker history if you look back at even earlier games like Donkey Kong Jr.

From what I understand, the plot is Donkey Kong Jr. has to save his father from Mario...

Great point, Mario is once again the antagonist! Why was Juniors dad so afraid of Mario? Poor Donkey Kong did all he could by rolling barrels down the stairs and ladders to keep him away!

There is an unsolved mystery we need to figure out here 😆
