zelda majoras mask question about romani ranch on the final night

I might have seen a clip on Youtube where the player can visit romani and her sister in bed during the final night. I tried it on the 3ds version and the game kicked me out of their house when the Clock turned 8 at the final night. is this only in the n64 version or does it actually work in the 3ds version?

I've played the heck out of Majora's Mask on N64, and I think I was able to get in their room while they were in bed at night once, but I don't remember how I did it. It might involve exploiting a glitch that causes them to not be able to kick you out when the clock strikes their bed time. Sorry that's not more helpful.
