Quoting limited to 4 levels deepSticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.
Do you know what kind of stuff goes on in prison? It's horrible and inhumane. Rape is incredibly common, and NOTHING is done to stop it. This should not be a part of the justice system. It is a cruel and unusual punishment. Sending a kid there for simply being a kid is absurd.
yeah but im talking about JAIL, not prison.
Doesn't matter if it's in a penitentiary or a city jail, anything can happen there.
actually, city jail is NOTHING like county jail or prison. unfortunately, ive been to city jail for not paying a traffic ticket. i was in their only 1 night. its nothing like what people would think. the other people there were actually friendly.

the crazy people dont get put in city jail. city jail is probably the safest jail. id rather be there than anywhere else. the crazy people are in the prisons and county jails.

I've been bullied many, many times.

Yes, the "eye for an eye, foot for a foot" ideal seems to perpetuate the human mind ever since Hammurabi assembled his code and included that statement. Is this justice in its purest form? Or is it not justice at all?

Suppose it wasn't intended to be taken literally--it doesn't convey the message "if someone punches you, you are allowed to punch that person back." Then, what does it mean? Is there an elaborate system of equality which determines the reciprocity of the action? Say, if someone punches you, you're allowed to kick them?

Anyway, this thread isn't about justice. Bullying is the polar opposite of justice. It is absolutely not fair.
