in this game, i have almost collected all recipes, and orderable furniture + clothing, but i wouldn’t really say that’s my favorite thing to do lol. my favorite is probably sitting down next to villagers and taking pictures

Same here on both accounts! I never have enough wood or stone. I love the models so much even though i hate bugs. The butterfly ones and even some of the beetles and the orchid mantis are so pretty. I don’t know what to do with them yet but i keep hoarding the emperor, madagascar subset, q.a alexandria, maja, agrias and purple emperor.

Ever since the game started I've been addicted to hybrids. It's such a problem that I've been spending days trying to get rid of my extras I have stored on the beach. They're just so pretty, and what if I end up needing one of those hybrids for something once I sell them?!

Also clothes. I literally made a 2nd character just to have more storage because over half of my main character's is clothes. I don't even wear most of them. I just bought them to catalog them and can't convince myself to sell them. What if I wanna make an outfit with it right after I sell? I mean, it's not likely, but it could happen.

You sound EXACTLY like me! Half my beach space is full of my extra flowers, and I haven't completed decorating my island so I don't want to get rid of them. About a quarter of my island is breeding the hybrids haha.

I'm also addicted to interior design so TT to get 5 items a day seems understandable.

I had to restart my island. So I am obsessed right now with getting all the DIY's I can. To help decorate my island and so I can start using my amiibos. I also am obsessed with terraforming. I unlocked it in less then 48 hours. Just because I wanna get my island back up and running asap. I am a little impaitent so I try to do everything too quickly and don't like leaving sometime half done.

I'm not sure if this is technically "in-game", but seems like mine is online trading. Got plenty of patience to restock every day on materials like chopping every tree and digging up fish bait. Also buying 20M on turnips each week takes a while, but pays off greatly in the end when I sell them for TBT.

Hmm, its either TT or trading online. TT makes me so excited for some reason, maybe because everything restarts (ie: get minerals off of rocks, chop wood, DIY’s, etc.) trading online gives me the satisfaction of getting items I would rarely get (ie: paintings/statues and gulliver furniture) in exchange for TBT. I could farm gulliver and Redd but I don’t have the patience to do that xD

Mushrooms, mushrooms, and hmmmm, ohhhh mushrooms!
I like the mush set so much (especially the mush lamps) that I use it everywhere on my island, I also like placing mushrooms on the ground as decoration so mushrooms are a must have in my pockets at all times along with weeds since I'm going for that cottagecore, natural, overgrown look for my island!
Also I love placing patterns EVERYWHERE like there's no room for an unfilled one for me, if I'm not placing a pattern on the ground that'll usually be filled by a weed lol... I'm hoping for more pattern slots tho as I'm running out (I have to delete some just to accomodate some patterns and I hate it)

I have several addictions.
I think my first addiction was collecting every shell on the beach and keeping them in storage. I have so many shells. Occasionally I will go through and craft a bunch of shell furniture to sell, but then I feel kinda sad that I don’t have many shells anymore. Currently though there’s an excessive amount and I really do need to craft stuff to sell and get rid of them.
I am also addicted to keeping flowers. I have like attachment issues with them or something because I find it really hard to sell them. I feel like I have to keep them in case I ever figure out a place I want to put them rather than in the random flower pile they’re currently in...
I’m a little addicted to just collecting things and trying to fill up my catalog. Some things I buy from nooks just because I don’t have it catalogued, yet I don’t even want them item. It’s a problem. My storage is almost full

I just obsessively check for campsite visitors every day. I've gotten pretty lucky, with ones I personally like such as Chief (whom I invited), Cousteau (whom I almost invited), Chow, Murphy, and Pudge. But I also got a lot of fan-favorites who aren't really my style, like Cookie, Gayle, Poppy, and Skye. My favorite part of the campsite is the element of surprise! I try to avoid picking "dreamies" because it's more exciting having the opportunity meet someone you'll grow to like, rather than actively seeking them out.
Same goes for island hopping. I like it for the same reasons as the campsite, only it's more rapid. I find myself getting as many miles as possible before someone asks to move out so I can hop as long as possible.
