Just pick them up and drop them back down, basically when you do that it registers them so that you can order them at Nook's store (well if they're reorderable)
Pick up the items and drop them after.

Pick up the item, and then throw it down. You can go to your Nooklings store to buy it after you do that. (as long as you have at least one store upgrade)
