So I know a lot of people are growing bored with this game but..I haven't yet. Yeah maybe we lack features and furniture but, I seemed to forget all that when I was playing with @Babo @seularin and @Saiki Kusuo . This game is the most amazing game I played this year. I can tell Nintendo worked hard for this game and is tryin their best to make it better even with corona virus around. It knda hurts to see comments like Nintendo should ashamed of themselves for makin this game they didn't include (insert wanted feature here)" or "This game isn't that amazing Nintendo should have done better." Like come on guys Nintendo is tryin cut them some slack. 2020 has been crazy. We're lucky we even got the game on time,, Guys you're missing the point of the game! You're supposed enjoy playing together. This game is about being together,,not stressing over how good your island is or complaining about xy and z I just..I enjoyed playing with @Babo @seularin and @Saiki Kusuo I was having a good time having a good time ♪ To think I only visited Babo for a trade. :33

And this is why i still play it! Granted i also think nintendo did a lackluster job on new horizons but we now live in an age where games can be updated! Through the internet! I was disappointed a few times when they took some fun stuff out but yes! During a time of lockdown and social distancing, visiting each others islands is the closest we can get and i appreciate human contact even more now because of it! Keep on being great milky! :)

i trade with people rather than play with them as i don’t really have any friends to play with lmao but any sort of interaction with another player is always fun to me!
I'm the same way.
Whenever I go to someone's island or they come to mine it's to trade or catalog or something along those lines.
I always love seeing peoples island too !
I wish I had some friends just to run around with and be silly.
I'm still having so much fun with the game !

I play this game with my sister sometimes and we get to have a blast when we have a chance. There are benefits to having more than one profile such as getting more star fragments and being able to buy more paintings if there's more than one genuine art. Yes, the couch co-op is pretty clunky and apparently, the idea of having more than one human character playing at the same time came up during City Folk's development but it wasn't possible to do so at the time.

Same! Because of quarantine, I haven't been able to see my friends at all but with NH, I've been able to "hang out" with them. NH may not be the best AC title but the ability to play with friends like this makes it so much more fun. Most of the time, my friends and I just joke around and have fun sending weird letters to each other. I just hope that Nintendo changes it from one island per switch to at least one island per cartridge.

I really love this game with friends. The flower watering perks means me and my friends water each others flowers nightly - its so nice to have interaction like this!

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is missing some things here and there, and yeah, you can't really blame them for the turnout because of the coronavirus. Things coming up may have to wait a bit longer because of the pandemic. I'm not going to shame them for not having new updates or whatever. I feel like doing so is pretty entitled. I don't even hate this game. When New Leaf was the current game, I recall people not liking it compared to previous AC titles. Now people love comparing NH to NL. Anyway, I'm not upset. I'm just happy it came out and I got to play it.

this is a really good point - but i think youre forgetting that you have to pay quite a bit for online features. and since we're all locked inside (or SHOULD be) a lot of people cant play local multiplayer,,,
i love the game, but large parts of it are missing (like ALL the holidays???) and other parts are made exclusively to get you to buy online (turnips, only having certain items in your nook shopping + your nook miles shop + nooks cranny, etc.)

just because people are criticizing the game doesnt mean we dont like it. its smart to be critical of things you like. dont tell other people not to question nintendo's practices please, we're allowed to be critical
also this game has been in development since ~6 months after new leaf came out. they had YEARS to work on it - it was (technically) fully finished way before 2020 (minus all the missing features) - the quarantines and outbreaks dont excuse any of this

My one friend don’t care about AC but I’m glad you find joy in New Horizons still! I’m having fun too since I’m constantly changing my island’s design and haven’t gotten all the furniture and dreamies I want. I’m still excited about the future updates they’ll give us too.

I mean, the game was created and worked on way before corona so imo that's not an excuse for the lack of content.

That said, sometimes you just need to let go of criticisms and just have fun.

Even though i think multiplayer needs more stuff to do, i still get excited to play with my brother! Inviting each other to get a recipe from a villager, check shops, water flowers, trade, or just to tour islands and take picture is great fun! I wish he would go back to playing it! He kinda moved to other games a while back and doesnt even check on his island. I mainly got it for him so we can play together a lot and we used to do just that, but i feel like i havent gotten all of my money's worth yet XD I hope if we get a new big update he is going to feel tempted to check it out.

Yeah maybe so but to get in those last minute touches before the given release date wasn't possible due to the virus plus workers were starting to get sick before it's initial release date. I feel like we should give Nintendo slack,, I agree with your last part though.

I'm just happy it was released on it's proper day because otherwise more people would have been even angrier about this game,,

if theyd actually finished the game BEFORE releasing it there wouldnt have been "last minute touches" anywhere near coronavirus dates,,, lmao

I agree, OP. I am still having a great time in AC and have already made so many good memories with friends in the game. Sometimes it’s a simple letter from a friend, sometimes it's just me and my partner landscaping together - it's just been...nice. Through this game, I was able to rekindle a friendship with someone who lives in another state -she and I visit every week, often on Sunday nights, and we just sit in my player's house and talk via text. It has been amazing.

Sure, I have criticisms of the game but I see so much good in this game and the experience it offers now. If someone has absolutely nothing but complaints, that's fine, but I admit that I usually ignore those posters. Most of the time they just sound generally miserable and dull anyway.

All I'm saying is Nintendo is working to even provide us a game during rough times so to bash on Nintendo about this game "lacking" things that probably wouldn't even really improve gameplay seems rather unfair. It's just getting to the point that people are forgetting those workers have lives and have to make sure to watch their health n such. Like Nintendo is a slave to us. :// Let em do what they do and be grateful for what we have because we could have nothing at all. ://

The game was delayed further so we all expected it to have lots of content. I think lots of us are disappointed with how bare bones it is. Like, what was it delayed for...?

Graphically it looks great but it's missing a lot of stuff that becomes ever so apparent the more I play. I have fun playing, especially visiting other people's towns but the lack of content and items is getting harder and harder to ignore. At least for me.

If people can enjoy the game anyway then that's great! I have fun playing, despite my disappointments with it.

You're 100% correct but some people are annoyed with parts of the game being locked through updates when it should have been there from launch. I think that's what they're complaining about. Obviously COVID is delaying a lot of things but that doesn't dismiss the fact that that content should have been in the game to begin with.

The game wasn't delayed. It released on the day Nintendo said it would. It's not missing anything aside maybe swimming but the game itself is complete. They're doing a new system with updates just like any game nowadays. Nothing is lacking people just think that because they're comparing it to a game that came out 8 years ago.
