Wouldn't it be great if Animal Crossing was REAL?

Some days I play animal crossing to escape the real world.
And more than once I've found myself wishing that I could just... jump into the screen.

How nice would it be if we could actually go there? I'd love to live in a tiny little village with only 10 animal neighbours, and nothing to fill my day with but fishing, bug-catching, watering flowers... ahh the introvert's dream.

I often fantasise about living inside of New Leaf. It's such a tranquil world, contrary to the real world. I'd love to just go fishing all day and escape the worries of the real world!

Yes, Animal Crossing is my escape too, and if it were possible to live there, you wouldn't have to ask me twice. Living in a small town, surrounded by adorable animal villagers, where the worst thing that can happen is you can be cheated into buying a fake piece of art from a crafty fox...sounds like a dream to me. Even being mayor, there are so few responsibilities. It would be wonderful!

See the thing is that I actually kind of like it as a home away from home type situation. There are lots of things to like about normal life just as there are many things to like about paradise. I really enjoy the feeling of looking forward to relaxing after having worked hard, which makes AC perfect for a reward after finishing a shift or something

A nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there. Real life is so varied and rewarding the "perceived" paradise of Nl would be incredibly boring after the newness wears off. No, I'm not forgetting that real life can be a major pain in the nether regions but balance is necessary.

Yes this! definitely a home away from home. It's the perfect way to relax and leave the real world for a while, pretend to be somewhere else

If it was real but I could also come back to my real life whenever I wanted yes. If it was real and I’m stuck there forever then no. I would just want it to be this place I go to for a little each day and maybe some days I take a break from it but to be stuck there forever I would hate it.

If AC were real, it'd be too surreal for me. I wouldn't mind checking the place out, but I wouldn't want to stay there. Especially if physics and reality played a role. Shake a tree and a piano falls on you. No thanks.

I would miss some things from the real world. The food, drinks, electronics, books, family, my best friend, movies, stores, different types of scenery, country roads, the music I like, Netflix, YouTube. Personally I would go insane if I was stuck there and then animals having the same repeated conversation over and over I would start to miss a real conversation

Oh you know how many times I say “why can’t I just jump right into the screen and live inside that beautiful world for a day or 2?”
So relaxing. I also imagine how nice is the scent of fruits, flowers, and villagers with those pretty colors probably smell like sweets too, like vanilla or cookies.
It’s our little fantasy escape world and sometimes it would be just great to be able to walk those little roads for real, and relax on the beach. Beside those good things though, I would definately have a giant panic attack if I was magically in there and a tarantula or scorpion would jump at me xD I already jump everytime that happens when I’m playing xD

I think a lot of people fail to realize that what makes the games truly beautiful are the arrangement of music. For example in Botw as Link exits the shrine he was sleeping in, it's the first time you as the player come into contact with the full world and are greeted with an amazing mountainous view that stretches on forever. Without the music that plays on that experience, it would fall short.

So yeah if NL were real, the place wouldn't have music blaring in your ears as you experience the town for the first time.
