Depends on the quality.
I have expensive Shure In-Ears (for studio) that I really love. At the same time, I have great over-ears that are better than Beats that I absolutely adore.

Would you rather fight a giant (25 ft long) spider with 280 eyes and eggs about to hatch next to it, or be slowly crawled over by 100's of poisonous and slimy snakes, crawling everywhere, including your genitals?
 
Well, the spider seems to imply potential doom, since I'm fighting it, I'd go with the snakes, if they're just crawling over me.

Buried under an avalanche, or swallowed by soil liquefaction?

Slowly eaten alive by piranha's because i could probably try to get away easier considering they live in rivers, etc. Sharks are in the Ocean, I Don't really like the Ocean.
