Windows 7 Commercials

This topic is a swarm of angry bees throwing feces at each other.

Screw it this topic is crap. Mac is just a PC that's twice as expensive and let's you run an OS that can't play games. That's a fact and that's all I'm leaving you with. Now I'll be over here playing GTA4 on my normal computer that can actually play it because my OS is not a crippled old man.

EDIT: I will not pay $700 more for a "Genie Effect" because not only can I download that and use it, I'm not a graphics whore. The end.

Also, I just prefer the Mac interface to the PC's, it just seems less cluttered.
WHICH INTERFACE THERE ARE TONS OF OSES OUT THERE NERD RAGE SVJHEDHJHFGDSLFHGSDG
ANY OF THEM, THEY ALL SUCK COMPARED TO MAC
Personally, I think Mac is more cluttered. Well, not really cluttered, but annoying and disorganized in certain aspects. For instance, instead of just clicking the X in an application to close, you have to go *Program file name*---> Quit program. It's annoying. ;__;
What're you talking about? There's a red dot at the top left of every window on a mac, click that and it closes it.

Going through the whole process of Program name > Quit is just pointless unless you need to force quit.
He means completely closing the application. Some apps do close completely when you click the red X, like Photo Booth, but most remain open unless you select Quit from the application's menu or press Command+Q. I actually like it better this way. I can close a window and still have the application open, in case I need to open a new window without the application starting up again.

Oh, well I just leave them open on the dock anyway, it doesn't slow the computer down.

Read my last post. >_>

Anyway, hitting two keys is a lot faster than moving your mouse over the X and clicking.

No offense, but the ONLY reason to get a Mac is because you're morbidly ignorant. You can't take 10 minutes out of your life to look up something on Google that tells you how to take care of your computer? It's not hard. Run CCleaner once a months, download Avast or AVG which are free Antiviruses, and don't go downloading 50BG of porno. Is that so hard? It's really not, at all. Especially if it saves you $1000.
Wow, you're just trolling all around, aren't you? Just because someone doesn't agree with your choice of operating system, doesn't mean they're stupid. Most users don't want to have to download a ton of third party tools, pay annually for malware protection, experience bugs all the time, have to run various things every few weeks to keep their computer running, or have to upgrade their hardware every time an operating system upgrade comes along.

The system should come with everything it needs to run smoothly, and not create huge problems for itself that make things hard for the end user. Windows has a lot of problems that it's had for a long time, that Microsoft could quite easily fix, but they likely won't for awhile, since those problems ended up becoming an additional source of profit for quite themselves and their partners.

As for the price, you end up spending more for Windows in the end. Between the malicious software protection, office software, advanced video editing software, repairs (for the AVERAGE user who can't fix their computers themselves), and the quality issues of the parts that many companies ship their computers running Windows with. With Apple computers, you get good design, higher quality hardware, a clean user interface, compatibility with a ton of third-party hardware, compatibility with Windows for various services, and many, many things you're not going to get from Windows.

For me, all this stuff stacks up against Windows by far. I might think differently if I were a PC gamer (though, you can use Windows applications via WINE on OS X), but I'm sticking with Mac OS X myself. Some people just prefer Windows, and yeah, some people can't afford Macs. That doesn't make people ignorant for buying something they prefer, it makes them a normal consumer.
_________________________________________________Okay, it took awhile to write that, and I just looked again and there's more posts. >_> So, I'll reply to a bit more...

Macs can run games. If you didn't think so, then you obviously know very little about Mac OS X, or computers in general, since Macs use some of the best graphics cards around, and has a good platform for developing. I'm too lazy to rewrite what I've wrote before, so I'll just refer you to this post here.

Edit: Addition Referral ]

It was a laptop model, deignated by the F, which drastically reduces performance.

But Shadow, as new things come out, you can keep making your PC better and better by upgrading it, while you can't do that for a Mac, so you'd have to buy the newest Mac model to get the most recent stuff.

2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 3MB on-chip shared L2 cache running 1:1 with processor speed
What F?

They have disc to for updating. But a lot of people who have tons of Mac Books usually just pay a 100$ a month and go from there until it is all payed off.
