Windows 7 Commercials

That's what I thought also.

But then I got my new desktop for Christmas, tested the start time with my friends Mac, and it had the exact same start time and speed for opening programs and downloads.
Were they using a Macbook or an iMac/Mac mini or whatever? Also the desktop will seem fast at first but when you start downloading stuff, it'll get bogged down.

Am I the only one who do not understand the Windows 7 commercials? The ones where they say "..and Windows 7 was my idea" at the end.
It's like saying

"Microsoft listened, and made it how I wanted it to be, I made windows 7"

I think
So now Snow Leopard is their customer?
So similar...
Snow leopard wasn't a whole new OS.

It was just an upgrade from Leopard.

Then run CCleaner.

Oh I forgot Mac users don't know what that is. That's why they switch.

THAN I switched.

I know what that is but it's the fact that something like that isn't already built into the system already to keep it running smoothly that's the problem, not everyone will know to download CCleaner will they?

What's with that annoying noise in the background? -___-

Bigger screen? Like Bogmire said, six screens on one computer.
Viruses and crashes? It depends on what sites you are visiting. Never once in my life has a computer crashed on me. Even my 11 year old PC still runs fine and it has a ton of junk downloaded into it. It's still as fast as it was when I got it.

My desktop? Fast because there is nothing in it? Haha. I have a ton of games and programs downloaded into it. It still runs fast.

I'm really getting tired of these Mac fans. I don't really care what your computer of choice is. It's your opinion, just like I have my own.

So, let me get this straight: You'd rather pay $700 more to not be able to download anything then download a free program that takes 2 minutes to run? Everyone knows about it.

This debate makes less and less sense.

Oh and as for the virus thing, it isn't that hard to get a good virus protection program. I got mine for free and it works perfectly. (AVG)

I didn't pay for mine.
And I still use windows, and mac. So I don't care.

I've had an old Vista computer for 3 years with no security at all, except for Norton for the first 6 months. Mind you, this was the train wreck that was vista. I'm sure I won't have any problems with my new windows 7 computer then, knock on wood.

No offense, but the ONLY reason to get a Mac is because you're morbidly ignorant. You can't take 10 minutes out of your life to look up something on Google that tells you how to take care of your computer? It's not hard. Run CCleaner once a months, download Avast or AVG which are free Antiviruses, and don't go downloading 50BG of porno. Is that so hard? It's really not, at all. Especially if it saves you $1000.

No, Macs don't just run faster, they have better software on them.

They have iMovie, a free equivalent to Sony Vegas, Garageband so you can record voice, edit it, learn instruments and other things, there's iWeb for making websites easily and quickly and there's iPhoto which is really clever actually, you can set a face to be linked to someone's Facebook account so it recognises that persons face and if you upload that photo to Facebook from iPhoto it will automatically tag that person. It can also show your photos in many different ways, much more than Windows Photo Viewer can.

Yes, yes, and yes. I completely agree with everything you've just said. Macs are horribly overpriced, and you're paying for the brand, not the hardware. Just the other day I built a computer that was $400 cheaper and 3 times as powerful than my friend's $1400 iMac.

Ok then, I'll continue. My Macbook can last 7 hours without being plugged in. It's got built in BlueTooth so I can have my phone connected to my Macbook for quick file transfer.

I just want to add this in again because it's awesome: LIFETIME WARRANTY > 1 YEAR WARRANTY

EDIT: The Eee Seashell can last 8 hours and the battery can be take out, so yiu can carry another battery with you. 16 Hours > 7 Hours

Because it's really that much more difficult to take the memory card and plug it in? The battery life isn't that different from most PC's.

And Beehdaubs is right. I can build a gaming computer, with specs 4x a mac's, for $330.

So? The customer service is far better with Apple, I'd much rather just renew my insurance every year. The customer service with Apple is just direct through to Apple instead of wasting loads of money going from the company who makes the computer and then to Microsoft and then getting your computer taken away for repairs.

The guy in PC World told me that Apple can take control of my Mac to fix it without me even sending it in for repairs unless it's serious. I'd much rather have a 1 year warranty than having the hassle of getting a PC fixed.

My laptop runs that long as well, and I have the option of taking the battery out, and carrying another around with me that is fully charged during travel when I am unable to plug in the charger at the time. So in reality, it lasts longer.

I will admit to that.
