Long story short, I've been trying to get rid of Ava but to no avail. To make matters worse, her birthday is soon and she keeps spamming my mailbox with invitations to her birthday. I'm curious if the problem I'm having has to do with the fact that her birthday is soon or if I'm just having horrible luck. Any light anyone can shed would be wonderful. Thanks folks!

EDIT: She must've heard I was talking about her cause she finally decided to move!! She's my last eviction too!! Thanks everybody for your help!!!

When I had Skye, she was outside on her birthday.

I kept restarting to catch her at home, but I couldn't.

Then I realized she must be thinking of moving, so I went up to her, and sure enough, she pinged to move.

I talked her out of it, then saved, quit, and restarted, and she was inside, having her birthday party.

So if they can ping to move when they're meant to be inside having a party, I'm sure they can also move out.

Like they did in WW.

I used to cycle before and I haven't had any experience of them moving out on the day of their birthday. Probably not. Anyone could ping you on that same day though.

This is really good information to have. Guess my luck is just really bad... It feels like she's mocking me with my mailbox...

In my cycling experience they are LESS likely to move out 2 weeks before their birthday. I cycled the exact days over 300 times and was stuck with Pate, Sprinkle, Puck and a few others and the only common thing they shared was their birthdays were close to my cycling date.

It seems they will stick around before their birthday and not as much after.

Good luck!!

I have villagers pinging to move around their birthdays ALL the time. So they absolutely will ping. Ingrates, lol.

Hahaha, maybe they just don't like birthday parties... I know several people in real life who would definitely skip town to avoid their birthdays...

Two time I've had rumors that the birthday villager or the guest was trying to leave town.
I tried going back to early morning when Lolly would be up but she wasn't outside. The next day I was able to stop her from moving.
For the guest villager the mayor kept save/quit and Blanche refused to leave the party. Sent my other player out and Blanche was outside. Stopped the move.

Next game birthdays and event movers should be removed.

I think playing day to day changes the odds of a villager move by near their birthday.

My experience relates to cycling and major time traveling, where villagers are less likely to move around their birthdays. They tend to cling around the same cycling dates lol :)

Then in towns when I am a more dedicated mayor, I have had it happen with pings around birthdays, or they are the guest of the birthday villager.

Villager pings are complicated!
