Will Someone Let Me Visit?

I am having massive trouble trying to connect with a friend, I keep receiving error code 018-0512.. She receives the same error and we've been trying to reach each other since yesterday ;-; I can visit the island and do everything else internet related in the game with absolutely no trouble. Will someone let me visit for just a few moments so maybe I can find out if it is my DS causing the troubles? I would be really very grateful

*also if anyone has figured out how to solve this it would be amazing~
