Will cherry blossom petals disappear from inventory after the event?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm a little paranoid since I've been hoarding mine in storage to do some mass crafting next week. Have people who time travel noticed any disappearing petals? Or do they stay even after they stop spawning outside?

i wanna know as well... and are we able to craft them still? someone said we might not because it's in "seasonal" category, but so are bamboo DIYs

They don't disappear as far as I'm concerned. I TT a lot and had tons in my storage (100+) before I took them to my new town. And I played in May for a few days

I mean last I checked I could still get the bamboo recipes and the young spring bamboo, so we arent out of season for those yet either.

I don't know for sure, but I don't think so: I think some recipes fall into the "seasonal" category because some materials needed to craft them only spawn during a specific season (young spring bamboo, cherry blossom petals), but if you still have said material out of season you should be able to craft the items.

wait i thought only young spring bamboo is the reason why it's seasonal, but we should be able to get the bamboos all year round? or am i mistaken?

There's no reason as to why you would learn a DIY for a week and then it's gone til the next season. You guys will be fine to craft seasonal recipes as long as you have the materials.

Right but I've gotten young spring bamboo this past week, and got another recipe using young spring bamboo. So I think we are still in season for those.

We are. It's still technically Spring and I've found many bamboo recipes alongside cherry blossom ones.

no, they'll never disappear without you doing something to make them run out

I'm in the southern hemisphere and have been able to kep the ones I've caught from towns in the northern, despite having nothing sakura related going on in my town (also, in new leaf, I was able to keep a caught snowflake in my pocket for years. so same basic principle applies here)

and to that extension, all seasonal/event mats should stay until you use or get rid of them

Maybe I’m mistaken but I’ll TT to see for myself. But I don’t think you’ll find them in balloons after the cherry blossoms are gone

you can craft anything you have the diy and mats for

it just won't show in the 'seasonal' tab anymore, since that tab only shows items seasonal at the time for the island you're on and not every seasonal recipe in the game that you have

I believe that the cherry blossom recipes (and the petals) will stick around even after Bunny Day is over, although you will have to TT backwards for them. I was finding the recipes and petals during early April before Bunny Day even started since I TT.
