So! Out of curiosity, are any of my fellow TBTers joining me in the Nexus? Open Beta is still going if you want to test the game out before release -- lasts till the 18th!

I'm on the server Nexus, my main being an Esper named Faylea c: (and nobody else is playing an esper gee i wonder why)

Nope. Game was disappointing and the beta felt like a ps2 game. Not saying it looked like one, but the controls in general felt ps2-era. Really wasn't that fun. Certainly not revolutionary.

ah, yeah, not revolutionary by any means -- but i guess i wasnt really looking for revolutionary. x3 the controls are "eh" to me i suppose. im not sure how long ill play past beta; i just know that for now, its keeping me occupied. i enjoy the humor/visuals/music; leveling is a tad slow for me, though.

they probably meant "outdated"? i guess? the dodge button IS by doubletapping but that can be turned off. :/ eh.

Have you ever gone back and played a PS2 game? The controls feel a bit like Jak and Daxter. So yes, that means dated, if I meant bad, I would've said bad.

About a year ago when I first heard of Wildstar, I thought that it looked very promising - But as time went on, I begun to realise that it would be a decent game at best and not quite the "fresh new take on the MMO genre" I was looking for. I would still consider playing it if it was free of charge, but I am not going to even consider paying for a subscription. I hope EverQuest Next will be the MMO the world is waiting for instead!

It's not amazing, and it's not bad. It feels... bland? to me I guess.

i would never look for such a thing haha. i dont expect it to come and i dont particularly care if it does or doesnt. i still play wow, so im not really like... idk. right NOW im bored, and the genre is starting to get to me, but i like MMOs. wildstar isnt new or innovative, its just another MMO. but i like it. thats the second time ive heard of everquest next... it hasnt caught my attention yet, so ill wait until i see something about it.
basically what im rambling about is that my expectations werent that high so i wasnt that let down
